I have the SCT already, so hopefully emailing just the tunes will be more like the 5-10 business days. Come on 5 days (fingers crossed)

He needed my strategy code, I have an 04 though, that might have been why. Once I got Justin the code he had my tunes emailed to me same day. Best $400 I could have spent.

I ordered my tunes from VMP while the shop was closed and he had my tunes to me the day after he came back. My guess is that you will have them by tomorrow.

Doh !! I forgot you already had it, sorry too many things going on in my little head right now. It's possible Justin can have you the tunes in a day to 5 days.

I don't want anyone to take this out of context. I'm not saying it's easy to write custom tunes because it's not. It takes a lot of know how and a lot of intelligence to do. But a person like Justin, Mike, Doug, etc can write a custom tune for a vehicle in a matter of minutes.

We accept strategy codes too, you are more than welcome to input it into our site if you have a way to read it out.

I already read it with my XCalII and included it with my order yesterday. Based upon my past tuning experiences, I just assumed you would need it. What does it tell you? Your post makes it sound like you really don't need it to tune a vehicle. Why do others ask for it when tuning? Just curious.

It tells me the strategy, which crosses over to a PCM code, in the event that Ford has updated your PCM with a newer code.

Very generally speaking, sometime you need it, sometimes you don't.

Thanks! I'm having some real trouble with it, though. Every time I drive it, it's very hard to get out of it when I'm done.

Received my Xcal3 with VMP tunes today. Ordered it with 87 mileage, 87 performance, and 91 performance. Installed it with the 87 performance tune. It made a huge diff over stock. Now, can't wait to try the 91 performance. Great service from Justin, quick to reply, and shipped out in no time( took exactly 2 weeks, shipped to Canada). Will definately be doing business again with Justin.

My dad literally has that EXACT same problem, if you catch my drift.

Well i have had Justins tunes for several weeks now and figured i would post my thoughts on them. My truck shifts nice and smooth now at normal driving and shifts firm when you go WOT. The main thing i noticed is the power improvement at partial throttle. I no longer need to make it downshift to gain speed. On the interstate it holds the gear on hills that it used to always downshift on with my other custom tuning.
I am very happy with justins tune
