about how long does it take to get the tunes from VMP? I sent the edge off and they said it would be 10 days before they could look at it.

From everything I've seen in these forums, FX, VMP will be very quick in his response. I've seen nothing but good feedback on time when it concerns VMP. But, not being a customer, I can't give you specific "day counts". Thumper possibly could.

I do wish though, you'd have contacted Bill at PHP about your Edge. He's made everyone who's called him happy - I've never seen a valid negative post and you might be using a functioning Edge right now if you had done so. Calling Edge, was, in my opinion, not the best option. They have a reputation for "spotty" customer support and I think you may have gotten one of their "less than stellar" performers.

But, of course, it's all "water under the bridge". I'm sure you'll be happy with VMP and Justin.

Please, don't think I'm saying, "You should have....". It's done.

It's just a matter of how much he's got on his plate at the moment. If he's not lined up with dyno tunes, shows, etc than he'll be able to get your stuff out to you very fast. I'd say a one to three weeks to get it including delivery. Like I said it just matters how much he has got going on. Just ask him when you purchase the unit.

Hey Jack, just a question, but could he have done anything about the actual unit going out? that is my real problem, at least I hope. If the unit is beyond repair ill def. be in the market for some custom tunes.

Edge might give you a new unit free. I really doubt Bill could of done anything for you if the internals are eff'd up. Short of getting a new unit I don't think it's salvageable. But like I said more than likely Edge will give you a new unit.

And when he gets his properly working Edge back, he can simply trade it in to Bill for a Gryphon. This will allow him to keep his gauges, as well as getting custom tunes.

If he does get a new one that's what I'd do.

Yep to everything above this post, and Bill can probably give you an "informed" opinion on the actual condition of your Edge. He has done just that with other people in the past, and, it it's not actually broken, he'll tell you how to get it working again - free! This is one of the main reasons I think so much of PHP - outstanding customer support! Bill used to work for Edge and has sworn he will continue to support Edge owners who run into problems.

They're not into taking calls on Sundays, but after 12:00 Eastern time tomorrow, I'd give him a call.
