updated edge, now blank???

I decided to update my edge today after something like a year of no updates and I wish I hadnt. I have the lightning software and just did the usual updates to lightning then to the edge, now its just blank?? you plug it into the truck and its just a blank green screen, and when you plug it into the computer it says it doesnt recognize the version?? In my searches real quick I found this fusion crap, did I get into that mess?? other than that idk, it was downloading something like V.24.28 i think...

I'd think downloading Fusion would be your best bet right now.

I could be wrong, Thumper, but I don't think he wants Fusion. He should call Bill (after 12:00 Noon Eastern time) to get squared away, but in the meantime:

Did you remember to turn the ignition key to ON before plugging in the Edge to the OBDII port? Sorry if I'm sounding like a broken record here, but a blank screen is what you get if you don't do this I believe. Anyway, if that was the case, just go ahead and try it again, the right way this time.

I have never turned my ignition on BEFORE plugging in the Edge. Never had a problem.

I did once, and the manual clearly states to have it on. Some others have had the blank screen and having it on, fixed their problem.

I'm very pleased with his work that's why I recommend him to everyone. If you need an Xcal2 as well, you can get it plus 3 tunes for $395. I think it's a damn good deal. Tunes are normally $50 a piece if you've already got a tuner.

No, you can data log them if you want but it's really not necessary. Justin's tunes are going to be dead on anyways.

Wrong thumpe, a lot of people care, especially those that are looking at all this tuning stuff a new. I’m not knocking any custom tuner; I’m saying my guy did me right and has the stuff IMO; trouble free from the get go, 2004
