VMP doesn't stock any parts for F150s but he can tell you where to get them. He would but he wouldn't be able to buy enough product to pass on the deal to the consumer. So the consumer in the end would just go and buy the products else where. A lot of the stuff for the Mustangs he fabricates himself.

I was referring to VMP I do not want Troyer for a few reason one of which is he doesn't sell the SCT X-Cal two.

Racingfast do not look at what truck i have listed in my profile. Read my question. As i am asking about a 2008 F-150 5.4L and the SCT X-Cal. Not Superchips

I have no problem buying just the SCT X-Cal from VMP as long as he will give the tune for either the Roush or Volant CAI

Buy the intake else where and have Justin write the tune. I would go with the AF1 though.

Why do you want the X2? I have the X3 & have no issues whatsoever. Is there something that the X2 does that the X3 does not? I thought that the X3 was the newer, updated version.

The X-3 is the newer version and it has had lots of problems. Big problmes wiht some of the Mustangs. It has fried a few ECM's.

I will stick with the X-Cal 2

Why aren't you a fan of the AF1? It's the best intake out there for the 04+ F150. The Volant blows. The S&B is the best closed box design and might be the next best option as far as intakes go.

Early units of the Xcal3s were plagued with firmware issues. I'd stick with the Xcal2, too. It's tried and true.

Had a AF1 previously not impressed with it and hate the way it looks. There are other units that are as good or better. It is all personal preferance/opinion, and they all flow about the same.

Who says it's the best? And why?

What's the Best CAI for your Stang?

I agree, I really don't like the way it looks either. Irregardless, Justin will be able to tune for whatever CAI you get. AF1 has gotten the best dyno numbers.

C&L with 88mm maf tube or JLT. LOL!

I would like to buy a kit like Brenspeed and Bama sell for the Stangs. Does anyone know where to find that type of combo? I prefer the SCT X-Cal2 to the Edge or even the X-Cal3

I see nothing in your original post about an 08 F150.

I never mentioned anything about Superchips?? did I?

Reguardless, contact Justin at VMP, he'll lead you in the right direction!

If you get an sct2 than get one of the local shops to give you a real custom tune not one of the semi custom tunes sold over the internet. They might be better than just a can tune but there still not going to be as good as a tune made just for your truck. It was $600 for my truck with the tuner and two actual custom tunes and it was worth every penny of it and from the looks of it im making more power than the internet tunes too.

How about posting your power gains.... I agree a "dyno" tune is the best of the best. But for the money, and for the one's who cant, or doesnt have a "exp. tuner" in the area, than this is the best way to go!

How about posting some dyno sheet's or something, I'd be interested in seeing the difference between some "semi-custom" to "true custom" tunes.
