just installed Edge Wow!!!!

I just received my Edge Evo from Troyer today and wanted to share my views on it w/ everyone.The instructions were straight forward and could not be better.I must say i was worried the whole time because of the recent stories i've been hearing but i had no probs.I set it on level 2 to start and have only driven it maybe 10 miles but i can already tell a major diff.My truck feels completely different than it was as far as shifting.The shifts are snappy and firm other than easing into gear.It actually seems to have a different sound more deep than it was.I can't really tell much in part throttle acceleration but when you hammer down it really comes to life.As of right now i would recomend this to anyone as i feel it is a great product and has really woken up my truck.My truck has the 5.4.In a couple of days i will be running level 3 and i will let everyone know how that does if youd like?Until then the fun begins

I agree! Although I had a problem with the initial install, after updating and re-programming it is working fine. I am on level 2 now and plan on trying level 3 with 91 in the next couple of days. Along with my new S&B intake the sound and acceleration have definately improved. Get my Banks exhaust on Fri.

Give your truck a couple of days for the computer to learn your driving habbits it will get even better. And level 3 is night and day from level 2. Enjoy.

I had no probs luckily and i have stock intake.I have true duel exhaust w/ flowmaster 40s which is hurting my low torque but the improvement is great.Wish i would have gotten it sooner.I that new banks kit will sound good and give you even more power

I just got mine from Troyer also but haven't put it in yet. Do I need to update it before installing or do I only update it when there is a problem???

don't have to update it, your truck is older so the Edge will have all the info it needs

Not always the case.

This guy's 2004 calibration code was not included;

Doesn't the manual state to always update upon receipt? RTFM.

I just read that thread, looks like problem with changing the tire size. I read through the manual and I don't see where it says you MUST update it. I can't see why it would hurt anything though by updating it though so I think I am going to update it and then install it.

Good to hear you like it. I am gonna pick one up and also have a 2000 F150 5.4...so i've been wondering if they make a good difference on the older 2valve engines. I know they are awesome on the newer trucks.
