Question on customizing Edge

I just received my Edge for my 04' 5.4. In the manual under custom options, I need to change my tire size, the instructions in an enclosed box says to change the values gradually or engine/transmission damage may be possible. I thought I could just put the correct number in the box 275/65/18 (2559mm). Can I do that? The default # was a lot lower. I also received a message when trying to load "file missing rxap7b8 update required" tried update on lighting but still get same message. Plan on calling tech in the morning when they open. Truck still runs stock..edge hasn't downloaded yet.

Check your actual speed with a GPS once you make the changes.

Hey I got the same message. File Missing RXAP9A7.HEX Update Required. I do the update and still get the message. I called edge and I had to send them some files over the lightning software. This was last Friday they told me that by Wednesday (tomorrow) they might have and update ready.

Yea, I just talked to them today and said they would update it on wednesday also. Asked them why they didn't have it on file (04' model) and he said Ford has so many variations (over 400) depending on models, location, altitude, 4wd, 2wd, ect.... Anyway, can't wait to get it to work. I think the display is pretty cool. I like the option of monitoring my trans fluid temp. when towing.

I forgot to also let you know what they said about changing the tire size. He said you only have to be careful when you start going over 33".
