I haven't had any problems with the "programming" aspect of the unit per se. I like it a lot, but it does have a few "ticks" about it.... When they get all the bugs worked out, this thing is gonna be SWEET!!!!!!! Zaairman, check your pms.

Zaairman - sounds like my glitch and yours are similar. I think I'm on level 2 but it says level 0.

 

I had a little problem too. I loaded the high performance tune, and nothing changed. NOTHING!!! But, after several wot runs, all of a sudden the rev limiter went away. A few wot runs later, the tranny started shifting hard. I made a 3 hour trip to Athens, and on the way, I floored it at every red light, etc... The power got better and better. By the time I made it to Athens, it had done what I figured it would do. The acceleration is great and it shifts firm!

It has TONS of glitches with the software though. I don't have TFT, and if I turn on OSS, it crashes. Display dimmer does weird stuff, color problems, lines on the screen. Everything works though..... just glitchy. When they get all the glitches fixed, and it is released to the public, this thing is gonna be sweet!!!!!

 

Did yours "reset" itself? I haven't tried to retune it yet, I'm waiting to hear from Rob before I do anything. Also, no TFT here either

Mine locked up when trying to change from Level 1 to Level 2 a couple of times. Screen color looks good, maybe a little splotchy. I tried 10 of the 14 PIDs, they all appeared to work fine. I agree, the improvements to shifting and torque are great. Low fuel light came on and I had to fill up with 91 in anticipation of Level 3!

 

Level 3 is wicked! I hope it doesn't break my truck..........

Yeah, I did everything I could to **** it off today. I tried almost every option, and every combonation of options. They all worked except OSS.

 

I received my Evolution last night. I read the manual and will be installing the unit tonight. I had a truck that ran a Superchips tuner and I remember having to remove the fuel pump fuse prior to programming- the manual cautioned against damage if it wasn’t removed. I didn’t see where the Evolution required any removal of the fuel pump fuse. Any thoughts on that?
I was pleasantly surprised to see the unit came with a dash pod, I was really expecting just a tuner that would be attached to the dash somehow. Any of you painted (or plan to paint) the dash pod? My interior is grey so the black pod doesn’t look bad but I am going to pursue painting it grey to match the dash after our testing session is over.
