Victories and Defeats for Neal (Part 3)
There's a guy from the TX chapter of world who has the HD air dam. The truck is that beautiful bright metallic blue with a chrome base bumper. One of the nicest looking 150's in Houston. Well, besides mine anyway,LOL! J/K,,,,98
neal if you are within 2 1/2 lengths of a new vette i would be going to the track ASAP. you might think i'm being a pr!c but if you get into the 13's with stock cam, heads, and intake you have definently done something and I promise not to question you for a while anyway.
HI!... BROTHERDAVE : If you would go back and re-read my post, you will see he had me by 2.5 truck lengths by the end of a 1/8 mile!!!!!!!!!! Not the 1/4 mile!!!!!! If we were at a 1/4 mile track, I suppose he would of got me by about 6-7 truck lengths by the end. My buddy has a '2002" CAMARO SS, AUTO, that is BONE STOCK and runs 13.2 @ 104mph in the 1/4. On the street when we race each other. I get him a bit out of the hole and we stay equal till I get about half way through my 2ND gear and then he pulls on me like crazy! My truck launches half decent and gets good 1/8 mile times. It's the 1/8 mile to full 1/4 mile that I need to work on with my truck. I'm currently waiting to install my full S/S JDM/KOOKS, MAGNAFLOW exhaust system, and going to order a AREOMOTIVE adjustable fuel regulator. Then I'm going to have to get MIKE T to redo another chip for me to set everything up. I don't see a problem with getting into the 13's N/A with stock heads and cams. Just with a 2400 STALL and a good set of slicks I should be able to drop off 3 tenths. But that won't be happening this year. I now have to spend my STALL money on a new posi unit for my 9.75. I apparently have torn all the clutch pack disc's "TABS" off and shredded he carrier. I'm going to have a EATON rebuildable "AUBURN" style posi unit installed.

HI!... Well I got two more "VICTIMS" tonight.
Well 1ST off, let me tell you guys how my week has gone. Well everyday this week I have had TERRIBLE hayfever, and I mean TERRIBLE!!!!! For some of you know I'm a construction worker and work outside, so you can imagine what I'd be like!LOL! Then on top of that everything that could possible go wrong at work DID! Well FRIDAY night I get home late from work and decide to work on my truck. I had to change a fitting on my fuel pressure guage that's mounted to my wiper cowl. So I end up installing the fitting and turn the key on to see I have no leaks. Well gas starts shooting out all over the windsheild, wiper cowl, and hood. I turn the key off to find that the AUTOMETER 90 degree bend fitting has a defective flange on it. Well I installed the fuel pressure guage back the way I had it and proceed to align it again. Well as soon as I grabbed it, it pulled right out of the wiper cowl!!!!!!!! The gas had practically disolved the plastic wiper cowl. So then I had to tear everything apart and try to make a temperary patch for the now huge hole left in my wiper cowl. Well I got it made and was re-installing everything. I then went to align the fuel pressure guage again. I had a combination wrench on one side supported by the ring on the guage pod and was tightening the other side with a 1/4 ratchet. Just as I was putting on the last tightening turn the combination wrench slipped off the guage pod ring and hit my front windsheild. CRACK!!!!!!!!!!! Right up the windsheild to the top molding. Well I just lost it right there and ended up driving my fist through the windsheild twice before noticing my hand was tore up. What can I say? I have a BAD temper to say the least. Well today I got the window fixed and drove 30 minutes to find out that the junk yard decided to close this SAT!!!!!!! So that is why the below "VICTIM" felt SO GOOD to crush.
Well about an hour ago I was going for one last cruise before calling it a night. It was dead except for the FORD PROBE GT I spanked about 15 minutes before. I'll get to that story later. lol! As I'm driving home I see a SILVER DAKOTA R/T, EC pull out of a gas station about a block ahead of me. He jumps on it and gets up to the speed limit. As I got closer to the R/T, I notice that it's this R/T that is always throwing revs at me when he drives past our local hangout. Also everytime I drive past where he hangs out he points at my truck and laughs. So I speed up to about 20MPH over the speed limit and slowly cruise by him. After I am about 4 truck lengths past him he speeds up and gets on my butt. After we pass a slower vehicle he gets back in his original lane and stay back a bit but matches my speed. Well ahead is a red light that just turned red. I stop at the white line but he goes about 4ft past it and stops. I knew he was going to race. The road ahead of us is all brand new concrete and TOTALLY deserted!!!! Well the light turns green and he jumps on it. So do I at the exact same time. I pull on him real hard in 1ST gear. By the time I get into 2ND gear I have a good 4 truck lengths on him. We both kept going till about 80MPH where I ended up having about 6 truck lengths on him. We stopped for another red light. He would'nt even look over at me. I knew he was going to try me again. Once again I stopped at the white line but this R/T moron proceeded to go a full truck length past it. I guess he needed that head start to beat me!LOL! Well he stalls it up. The light turns green and I waited till he hit it. Then I nailed it!!! What a joke! The top of my 1ST gear I had him by another 4 truck lengths and shifted to 2ND gear at 5800RPM (new chip) Man did it hit 2ND gear HARD!!. My truck then LUNGED forward with a loud chirping of the rear tires. This time I took it up to 110MPH before shutting it down. At that point the R/T was about 7 truck lengths back. Back far enough where his truck was only taking up 1/3 of my rear veiw mirror!LOL! I then turned and went home. As I have heard this guy has a few mods done to this "2002" R/T. I think he needs more!LOL!
O.K! On to the other "VICTIM". This one was a young kid in a late "80's", early "90's" FORD PROBE GT, 5-speed. It was yellow with home painted on black stripes. It was all RICED up. Well he was at a red light next to another RICED up CAVALEIR. Well the light turns green and they go at it. I'm at 1'4 throttle in 1ST gear trying not to smash into them!LOL! Well the PROBE starts pulling on the CAVALEIR so I stayed behind the PROBE. I was about 4 feet off his butt bleeping the throttle while this guy was at WOT!lol! Well he finally gave up and slowed down. As I passed him, I looked over at him and put my hand to my mouth and yawned. He was not amused!LOL!
Well I'm definately in a good mood now after those two races, espeically the R/T kills!LOL!

Hey Neal,
Hey old friend, smashing your hand thru a windshield does little to help keep your hands in shape to massage more power from your truck (and other things, I mean, parts
), to say nothing of being a good way to cut a vein wide open lengthwise, & maybe put an end to your racing altogether, OUCH! Man, don't take chances like that.
I know what it's like to have a temper, all too well, as I grew up in a violent home, so I learned to endure pain, fear nobody & resolve things immediately at a very early age. But over the years I'm slowly learning that letting go with all that fury really doesn't do anyone any good, certainly not the things we destroy in our anger (been there, done that). The last stage is taking that anger out on people or behind the wheel (I.E., road rage), and that's when it's a safe bet that something very bad has the potential of happening. I see some elements of myself (especially when I was younger) in you at times, Neal, so I can just see you up there in Canada pitching a fit over that cracked windshield. Be careful & take care of yourself, the truck will recover better than your hand(s) might!
You may also find that when your allergies act up, you're much less tolerant of everything in general, allergies affect many people that way. Are you taking anything for the allergies? I think I remember you saying you couldn't take the allergy shots, but there's almost always something you can take to lessen the symptoms, there's a lot of new non-hyper & non-drowsy forumulations available these days, you might want to talk with a sharp allergy doctor on that if you haven't lately, as things have changed quite a bit over just the past couple of years.
By the way, were you able to get a Ford replacement windshield, or did that matter to you since it wasn't a warranty item? It took a month to get a Ford windshield for our Lightning when it had to be replaced, I thought it would never arrive. The dealership told us it was in stock & waiting for us, so naturally it was a month after we dropped off the vehicle before we actually got it back with a real Ford windshield & the other things they had to do to it. Since it was under warranty, I insisted on a Ford original unit, so it would still be under warranty & Ford's glass is top-quality anyway. If I had to pay out of pocket, I'd probably just go aftermarket most likely, as it's much cheaper.
Congrats on the kills & watch that anger. We're gonna have to pitch in for anger management classes for you at this rate!

Hi Neal,
Under $350 Canadian does indeed sound like a good deal, that's about $210 US, I think, so that's very reasonable for a windshield, especially to have it installed.
Glad to hear the hands aren't too bad, & be careful!!

I WANNA RACE NEAL!!!
as long as I can spray a 75shot (without the chip in)
I think I'd give him a good run with my mods and a 75shot w/ no chip.
NEAL..... You up to the offer?

HI!... TALLEYWACKER : I'm game if you are? LOL! One condition though.... you come to WINDSOR for us to race!LOL! Hey if you get to use a 75H.P shot, can I?
It would be a good race though.
It would be a good race though.
Hmm, even though we tuned both trucks, I think I'd have to put a grand on Neal to win that one, especially now that he has enough fuel getting to the motor.
We feel that Neal's truck, with decent traction & weather is probably capable of a *very* low 14 second blast, if not actually dip below 14.0. It's a cinch he'll go under 14.0 once the rest of his parts are installed & the tuning finalized.
That being the case, I think we'll find that it's going to take more than a 75 hp shot of nitrous for Talleywhacker's truck to actually be able to beat Neal's in the 1/4 mile, though it would be a good race, & a fun run to watch these 2 go at it.
