Victories and Defeats for Neal (Part 3)
HI!... black f150 offroad : Is it just me, or do you FLAME everyone on this site? I have yet to see you post any positive remarks yet!! For your information I could'nt give a rats a$$ about the CORRAL. It seems around here and every where else I seem to go MUSTANG owners think they have the fastest vehicles in the world. Gues what? Not even close!LOL! Also, yes my SIG states that my truck runs 14.52e.t. But that was also a year ago. I have done much to my truck since then, just hav'nt been to the track yet, to get a timeslip to make people like you happy. Sure most late '80's" to very early "90's" MUSTANGS ran in the mid to high 14 second range depending on manual or auto. What you forget is that most of those cars are now at least 10 years old and probably have over 200,000kms on them by now. I see BONE stock MUSTANGS from those years at the dragstrip ALL the time. Most of them can't get out of the 15's let alone the 14's. I have raced a few brand new GT's also that are supposed to run VERY low 14's and I've beatin them too. Not by much but enough to get the win in a 1/4 mile race. Just because a MUSTANG is modded does'nt mean it will go faster than stock. I see guys around here all the time that don't have a clue how to MATCH parts to work together on their cars. They just buy all this aftermarket crap and bolt it all on. Then they wonder why the car goes slower or just a BIT faster than stock. The most common thing I see is guys who think the BIGGER THECAM THE BETTER. This is what usually kills their performance. So this guy I raced got 1st to 2ND and 2ND to 3RD scratch. WIPPTY DOO!!!!! My buddies old '87" stock MUSTANG GT could do that with his 2.73's!!!!!!! I get 1st to 2ND gear chirps all the time and the occasional 2ND to 3RD usually when the weather is cooler. So you could hit 100KPH by the time you got into 3RD gear, WOW! I hit 125KPH at the top of 2ND gear and I have 4.10 gears. Your point being?

I don't flame people i just like to call B.S - for example your truck can go 125 kph in second - no ***** you have an auto - compare the gearing to a manual (bet you don't have fifth) - but i guess you beat a lightning in that respect as they can only go 123 kph in second
my point was that if you heard the car squak the tires in third then it must have been going around 100 kph, also u stated this was going down a main street, so u drive that fast in a 50 or 60 k zone?
Yeah mustangs in that area probably are high milage, mine has 160,000km on it - so ? the cross hatch on my cyl walls looks just as good as my 5.4 that had head gaskets leaking at 5,000km. It all depends on how a vehicle is maintained (if it was worn out one wouldn't think it could squak its tires in 3rd)
You also sated that the mustang was in the middle of the intersection (lets say its rear bumper at your front?) and it could squak its tires at 100 kph, yet you beat it by quite a bit.
I agree that alot of people may have mismatch parts - some loose tourque etc, but if it can squak its tires in up shift to 3rd either the guy was poping his clutch hard or he still has some touque and *****
I'm sorry but I just don't believe your truck could beat so many older mustangs, escpecially since they are a hell of a lot cheaper and easier to modify than a 5.4

O I just thought i'd mention I don't really care if you can beat other mustangs as you have never beaten mine, not that is anything special its just the fact you havent beat mine and you probably won't unless your truck looses wieght and or is gets blown

Why attack Neal with profanity? Grow up. If you disagree with his posts, fine. But do it in a way that doesn't make you look stupid and immature. Believe it or not, there are people who don't care to spread B.S. about what they do on the streets. I believe Neal is one of those people. He obviously knows how to drive that truck extremely well and, as Neal stated, there have been a lot more modifications done since that 1/4 mi e.t. in his sig.
The are only 2 ways I see to resolve this. Either Neal has to carry a video camera in his rig 24, 7 to capture each race and then post them online. Or, you race him yourself. That way, it can be settled once and for all. But hey, it's just my 2 cents. Take it or leave.

HI!... There's my proof of "MUSTANG EGO" again. Thanks for proving my point black f150 offroad!LOL! By the way 125KPH is only 78MPH. A lightning hits 85MPH at the top of 2ND gear. You also forget that I have 4.10 gears and probably at least 425FT/LBS of torque at 2300RPM. So getting the holeshot is in my favour. If you want to race me that bad I can always race you with my RANGER!lol! I'll even give you a 5 car head start!LOL!

so i guess the 2002 & 2001 Lightning spec sheet is wrong, gee it shows 2nd gear is max at 76 mph (123 km/h), the 99-00 shows 80mph (129 km/h)

I am helpfull Neal, you had a post about the possiblity of your imrc causing your truck to bog, it was going on over two pages before I told you that it didn't even have one, did that not help you in diagnoising the problem? (saved you from pulling the intake off like you said you were going to do)
Your ranger in a race - sure , how about on ice against my 5.4 4x4 or in mud? I won't even have to use nitrous (i act like a child?, atleast i'm talking about legal street vehicles)

I have 3 articles on the LIGHTING and they all show 85MPH!!!!!!!! Also you forget that my truck revs to 5800RPM in 1ST gear and 5700RPM in 2ND gear. Like FORD's specs are ever right! They'er specs were not right on my engine oil capacity, rearend oil capacity, or my tranny fluid capacity. Even the weight of my truck and the fuel capacity is wrong. Getting childish? LOL! I'm just stating facts. 90% of MUSTANG owners think they have the baddest thing on the planet. OOPS now I guess it's 91%. Your the troll, atleast I now somthing - yeah ford knows less than your favorite magazine - there is a lightning board on here so go ask them - you have articles well I have ford spec sheets? do you know why the difference between 99-00 and 01-02? I do, or did your articles not tell you LOL
Your fluid capacities are off? by how much, do you fill your diff till the fluid runs out? do you fill your engine oil to the max line? did you drain your tourque convertor and trans cooler? was this info from your owners manual or a shop manual? LOL - did you change your factory (75-140 synthetic) diff fluid with redline so that u can beat mustangs LOL

A bad old mustang can beat your truck LOL, the engine also has forged pistons LOL, u have hyperutectic LOL, you have a ravenoux gear train LOL, you pay twice as much for gears LOL, my headers are half the price LOL, my engine will last atleast twice aslong as your $5,000 5.4 LOL, 302's are under $1500 LOL
