hello all, i just bought my 1997 regular cab 4.6 lariat and i am barely getting into all of this, so far ive gotten the 40 series flowmaster installed and very happy with it and yes of course i have the k&n filter only, i am really interested on the superchip being my next step but all the info ive read here involves the BIG 5.4 im interested on the performance that the superchip will give my 4.6 i have already taken down MIKE'S number and intend to call hime this weekend for info,

i would really appreciate any help, thank you

Welcome to F150online! It's a great place to hang out, meet new friends, and learn a lot about what makes these vehicles "tick".

The Superchip works the same on every engine in the F-150, just so you know. It adds the same basic percentage of power increase, which is about 12% roughly. The 4.2 V-6 gains 25 hp, the 4.6 V-8 gains 26 hp, and the 5.4 gains 28 horsepower from 99 on up, and 26-28hp on the 97 & 98 units.
