He was indeed *extremely* lucky to find a used Superchip for a 2000 model year F-150!

Thumbs up

Dustoff- Well bro, are you 'chipped' yet? I had a lot of the same doubts and questions you did, and believe me, after the install, it DOES make a difference. The coolest story I have so far is an impromtu 1/4 mile drag from a stop light with my neighbor's Yukon. He was sittin' there just grinnin' and gunnin' and before I thought about it, we both came wailin' off the line. At the Del Taco - the 'official' 1/4 mile finish line - I was in front by a truck and a half. Both my sons were with me and heard yet another sermon about 'do as I say, not as I do'. All this much fun and I've gained another 1.5 average MPG too!

fast46triton,

Stop waiting around. No used ones available, buy a NEW one. From all of your posts I have read on the computer chips topics, I thought you already had one.

I'll let that one go! I know you know better!!

When ya hit 0-60 in 7.8x-7.9...give me a call!! But then again...the new chip should drop my time to the mid 7's or better.

I told you bLaCk is *always* faster than gReEn!!

Question? Is there a big advantage to the super chips other than giving you the ability to trash your tires? I outgrew that need back in the '60s with my '57 Chevy!
So, for those of us who are secure in our manhood, what else does the chip have to offer?

Cool

Fast46 triton,I have driven the best 99 lightning, but I am telling ya honestly with the superchip,K&N fipk and the gibson split rear I installed today you'll come as close to ear to ear grins as possible that the lightning gives you. But you have a much more practicle year round truck.I don't know what my 1/4 mile times are but I'd bet they are in the 7's which is fine for me.

coming soon Gibson split rear w/chrome tips, tires, not sure what to do with front grill any ideas?
