Removing scratch on driver side plastic door panel?

I have a small scratch from the dealer - most likely from people getting in and out of the truck and hitting their shoe on the plastic door panel.

I have no idea if this is something that can be removed or not? I have some Plastic X...not sure if that would work or not.

We need a pic on this one. PlastX should be safe, I use it on a foam pad in a drill to do headlight lenses.

As has already been said, pics would help a lot.

Are you talking the plastic panel on the inside of your door or the painted surface on the rocker? That'll make a huge difference in what you should do.

I wouldn't use Plast-X on that. Plast-X is for use on scratched paint. What you have there is an scratched unpainted injection molded plastic panel. I'd try All Purpose Cleaner (let it soak for a bit), then agitate it with a stiff bristle brush. Follow that with something like Poor Boy's Natural Look Dressing.

PlastX is for polishing and protecting plastic - you are thinking of ScratchX. But you are correct, I wouldn't use either on that.

Alright guys thanks I will try an all purpose cleaner on it. Not sure if I can get it out. If not its not a huge deal.

Agreed, but not textured plastic.

I thought I implied that by saying I would not use either PlastX or ScratchX on it........
