Need help with my leather seat.
I cleaned my leather with Meg's leather cleaner but I can't get this off and it is only on the driver's side. It has been there for some time but I am thinking about selling my truck and would like to get it off. It almost looks like the leather has worn down. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Kevin

that could also be caused by just wearing blue jeans as well. it looks like blue jean dye that has been grounded into the leather. everytime you get in the seat you slide your butt down the back of the seat. i do the same thing that's why i keep a blanket on mine all the time. sorry i can't be of any help to clean it thou

Most F150 Tan Leathers have blue jean problems.
Ford used to warranty the seats but they don't anymore.
Clean more often is the only way to protect against it.

I managed to remove about 90% of the problem. My chemical of choice was Meguiar's All Purpose Cleaner Plus (the old stuff).
While this isn't readily available any longer, I think that it can be removed. A citrus-based cleaner, diluted, may be your best bet. As is true with nearly all chemicals, test in an inconspicuous area PRIOR to going after it. When testing, make sure to allow the spot to dry and fully evaluate the effects of the cleaner on the clear coated leather.
The clear coat on most leather is very durable so, there's not a huge worry about thrashing your seats but, you'll definitely want to try it out first. I've seen Simple Green create 'bleached' spots on light colored leather -- this individual ended up buying two seat covers for his client as a result of being a bonehead with the cleaning method.... btw, it wasn't me.

I had some spots on my medium Gray leather on my '98 and got some SEM 15393 in a rattle can and gave it a few light passes and it was fixed. I beleive they might have an exact match for the factory interior code but NAPA didn't have it on the shelf so I eyeballed and went with the 15393 and it was very close.

That sounds like how I fix problems.
