Line-X, Rhino? Differences?
When I asked my local Rhino dealer about the warrenty his exact words were "thats a grey area" He said that if I was anywhere else in the county that if I had a problem he would pay another dealer to fix it. However, that is just a deal HE does, not Rhino. My concern is what happens if he goes out of business or quits doing Rhino.
Sounds to me like its in the dealers hands how they handle warrenty work. I would rather have a certificate from the corporation that I can take anywhere.

Okay I am back with the correct user name and everything.
If you do your homework the decision is very simple. The best bedliner on the market right now bar none is Line-X. I am very honest with my customers and professional and I do tell them the truth about the differences between the products. I also tell them flat out that Line-X is more money but worth the extra investment in the long run. I educate the customer and then let the customer make the decision. The best thing I have found is the rub demonstration. Where you take a piece of Rhino Lining and rub it against a piece of Line-X. When they see the Rhino Lining crumbly like saw dust it's a done deal.

as for never seing a linex messed up i have seen three now in jersey . peeling and chipped up . as for me do other dealers work because they where not doing it the right way like i said in the begining of this post i have only had one falure do to a bad pump . rhinos fault being they where brand new pumps piece of metal in the pump and it shut the pump down so no chemical came out . but going to which is the best liner lets see who does more work linex or rhino enough said im sure rhino beats out linex in quanity anyday and it will never change .
This thread is dropping fast.
Dont try to convince people that can't be convinced.
I have an prefer Line-X. The warranty was certainly a concern but the look and texture is what I preferred. Rhino has been around for a long time so they can't be bad.
I say we agree to disagree and move on.

Line-X rules and Rhino drools.
What sold me is the fact that I can press my fingernail into Rhino. I did this at a fair display that had several truck beds with various spray-ins and I could press my nail in several of them, not just Rhino. If I can make a fingernail impression imagine what my lawn equipment or snowblower or anything else will do to it.

Regarding failures, to be fair both have them.
When I picked up my truck yesterday the owner was concerned that I might have a problem with my vehicle. The vehicle they did after mine developed 'blisters' in it after about an hour. Turns out one of the lines clogged and the mixture got out of wack. After we both inspected it carefully we concluded that it looked awsome and did not have a problem. However, if it did develeop a problem the owner was going to bend over backwards to fix it.
Bottom line is that both Line-X and Whino can be applied wrong or have problems. I am more worried about the long-term aspect of the liner, thats why I chose Line-X.

Here's more info related to that. LINE-X has a new electric system (as opposed to air) that all the new franchisees are getting. It's good because you can't spray a bad liner. The system can tell when the ratio of chemicals is not right and immediately shuts off. The bad news is that the new system is not quite the workhorse of the old system. Neat though, eh? Well, OK, it's probably not that neat to you guys, but it is to us who are in the business.......

Rhinolinings you might be right about the total number sprayed. I personally am not able to get the numbers from Rhino Linings to compare. So you really can't say with any certainty that Rhino sprays more. But you might be right.
I can tell you that Line-X sells protected territories to their dealers. So there might be 10 Rhino linings in the same area there are two Line-X's. So the number of liners sprayed at each Line-X store on average is much, much higher campared to same store sales for Rhino. Line-X is more interested in developing strong stores than selling franchises. I wish I had the total number of Rhino linings franchised compared to the total stores that are still open. The difference was pretty staggering to me when I heard it.
Line-X is coming up on 2 Million trucks on the road. They are having a big contest for the 2 millionth Line-X owner.
