Sylvania Bulbs?

I was looking at some Sylvania Silverstar bulbs tonight in advanced auto. They seem to be pretty nice, they are 25 bucks a bulb though. I think I might go back and get them tomorrow. Does anybody have any experience with these?

I bought them, and love them. They are a much brighter light than those stupid looking cool blue's.

I also have them and found them much whiter and brighter. Kind of steep at $25 bucks, but its only money.

I have had them on mine for about a month now. At first they didn't seem that much brighter then my superwhites but as I live with them, it seems like I can see more in the light. Also I have noticed much more oncomming drivers flashing me the high beams thinking mine are on. When I hit them with the highs, they know better...

Well I got mine today...I put them in and it wasnt really completely dark and they really didnt look any different than the stock bulbs. Well I drove it when it was completely dark and there is a big difference, the light is really white. I'm glad it doesnt really have a blue tint to it, just looks plain white. Do you guys have them in the fog lights? Right now mine are only in the headlights but i noticed my fog lights take 9006 bulbs so I was gonna get some of those.

I purchased them after reading this thread, and noticed the color difference(kelvin temp) immediatly.
After driving with them, I noticed a big difference.
Glad to have bought them and recommended to anyone wanting
to upgrade from stock Halogens

How about excessive heat with the 9006's? Is there any difference in current draw?

Well boys...I finaly found someone in Western Canada that sells the sylvania "Silverstar" bulbs.

Breadner Trailer in Calgary sells Sylvania products. They are bringing me in a bubble pack of 3 at a cost of $25/each bulb.

I am always willing to spend good money for a good aftermarket bulb....I hope that these babies are the best!

Should have them in about 5 days, I will give you a report when I have them installed in the NEW Supercrew FX4.

Question

I also purchased the bulbs today and what is the easiest way to install them. By removing the top plastic or the whole light?

Remove the lens assembly. I've done it a couple of times. It's a little tricky getting it to line up when putting it back in but you'll have no problems.
