2006 Rear Ford Emblem Replacement

How do I replace the Rear Emblem on my '06 Lariat? Also, where can I find a new one? Mine is cracked and water is getting into it.
Thanks,
Steve

It's in there - the rear is attached via adhesive - heat and pry it off. You can use mono to 'cut' through the adhesive as well.

To re-attach - 3M trim tape.

As I said - all within those links.

EDIT - OR via Google - http://www.f150forum.com/f4/removing...emblem-109325/

OR - F150online.com searched via Google - https://www.f150online.com/forums/ap...e-removal.html

Thanks. So where are some good places to look for custom ovals for tailgates? I had gotten some Patriot Decals a few years ago and I know there are now shut down - where else can I look?

Logo Swap and sanding

I just remembered I have my front logo that i took off when putting on Roush Grille. Looks as though it is exactly the same as the rear tailgate logo… Can someone confirm this?

What 'd like to know is what is the best approach for sanding down the raised Ford lettering on the emblem? Do I remove a layer of plastic or just begin sanding? I saw something in this forum a couple of years ago, but cannot locate it.

The front, and rear badges, are interchangeable. Same sizes, same guide pin locations.

Downatthebuilding, seller on eBay, has the cheapest new ovals you can buy and also has custom painted ones. He responds immediately to messages and can do some different things for you.

Guy on here named lifted5.4lariat can custom paint them for you as well. He's doing mine.

Agreed that the badges are interchangeable.

Why do you want to sand down the raised letters? So you can paint the entire thing black and have it be smooth? I personally don't care for how that looks, but I don't see why you couldn't just sand it down.

As KMAC said, I am still doing the emblems. I recently bought a new batch and just listed them here on the forum. If you are interested the link is in my signature! Thanks
