I used it in my bed. However, I just used a paint brush. Not the roller / kit.

I haven't used the roll on Rustoluem but I've heard it's good. The spray cans just give it that even texture that looks great on outside body panels......

I came across this thread a week ago, liked what I saw.

I've had my bumpers painted in wrinkle black, but have had an 06-08 front bumper waiting to go on for a bit now, and decided to try this bedliner instead. So far, it seems a little soft.....might just need to cure a bit more (it's been drying for a week now....)

I installed the bumper and am currently preping some ATS fender flares to spray with the bedliner too.

Here's a pic of my truck with the wrinkle black bumpers and even wrinkle blacked out headlights, lol. (post lift, pre-new tires) Name: DSCN0813.jpg

I'll post new pics once the new parts go on.....

I'm in the process of doing my rear bumper, now. Can anyone tell me if I have to sand in between coats of the etching primer? If so, wet or dry? After 16+ hours of drying there seems to be a powdery residue, and I'm not sure what to do with it. I didn't encounter this when I did my chrome grill, and I didn't sand in between coats.

Thanks for the idea. How is it standing up to being washed, etc?

I'm diggin the look! I'm not sure how it would look on my truck though. I was thinking about doing the bumpers, step bars, and maybe even the gray rockers. I'll be replacing the grille and surround with a Saleen grille eventually so that should get rid of most of the chrome. What do you guys think? Here's a pic of my truck...

Even for basecoat/clearcoat, you can wet or dry sand it with 600 grit and the scratches would cover with either.
I wet sanded wet sanded my primer with 400 grit, careful not to 'burn through' the edges and down to the bare metal or plastic (depending on the part). If you do, just dust it with a little more primer and blend it in once it's dry.

16 hours, how heavy of coats are you spraying to wait 16 hours?

I think it'd be pretty tough and go well with your blue, but then again...... I'm doing the same thing to my truck

You think the black all the way around would look good or PTM after? When are you doing this to your truck? I'd like to see some pics of yours before I commit to painting over mine.

Just paint the bedliner first and see how you like it. You can always PTM after that.

I got the new f.bumper and the ATS fender flares painted and installed over the weekend, and between rain storms I got a few pics.

I am planning on masking off the fender flare and the little flare piece on the upper to paint the little exposed white bc/cc area, because it stands out like a sore thumb. I am also doing a small strip at the bottom of the rockers, maybe the running boards and I'll be recoating the rear bumper to match everything else.
