PTM Upper Pad is on (97-03 body)

it took my 6 months, but I finally got my PTM upper pad installed today. It's been sitting underneath my couch collecting dust since I picked it up from the painter in July, but oh well.

The paint match is a bit off, as it was with the PTM rear bumper (painted by the same guy at the same time) so I expected this.

I think it really cleans up the front end of the truck a lot. On to the pics!

*Pics were taken with my iPhone, with poor light quality*

Thanks guys, I'm really happy with how it turned out, actually.

Alex, the bottom will be painted as soon as I have a weekend to pull it off, prep, prime, and paint. Probably won't be until it warms up and the weather gets a little better.

Well, here are some better quality shots, and a few of the "old" face to compare the new look to.

Was optional on your generations XLTs.

Thanks, but I had that Photoshopped a while back, when I was first introduced to PTM. (see below) --> http://s324.photobucket.com/albums/k...ent=NewPTM.jpg

The bottom will actually be done in black, or possibly Rustoleum spray-on bed-liner, to eliminate rock chips.

I was originally planning on doing the below chop, but I can't find a paintable front bumper, so I'm staying with chrome to tie into my rims.

haha, I know. I have been slow to deliver. I seem to get side tracked on things, but I like to finish something at the same time I start it. unfortunately there is never enough time to do it at once.

As Darren said, it was an option on our gen trucks. I think the V8 XLTs may have had then painted. I don't think I've ever seen another V6 XLT with a painted one...:o
