which looks better?

ok so I have an 04 super crew lariat 4x4 with chrome westin running boards. Ive taken them off, liked it that way, then put them back on and liked them that way too. personally, I think the truck looks cleaner without them, and also looks higher off the ground. But on the other hand, they sure do help when im stumbling out to my truck in the morning, heading to school. at school, there are 3 other f150's leveled without any type of running board or nerf bar and I think they look great, but for some reason I cant decide on mine. I know this whole thing sounds stupid, but any help will be appreciated,
Chris

I like my stock running boards. Just a matter or opinion.

I went through the same thing you did, took 'em off, put 'em back on, until finally I just left them off. Imo, the truck looks much cleaner. I did however finally pull the trigger on some Amp Power Steps. These solve both issues but they come at a price. I've seen some guys on here pick up sets off e-bay for around 600 bucks.

I've thought about removing mine, but, I decided to leave them on. Dresses the truck up a little bit, IMO. Also, they might protect the sides of your truck (someone else posted this thought maybe on this forum). I wouldn't have thought of this but it makes sense to me.

Eh, it's fine. Just use the oh-chit handle to get in. I hear they're pretty sturdy...

that's what i did with my old titan when i had a lift. people didn't know i had steps until i opened the door. $600 is very cheap price for them.

i had Nfabs before but i didn't like the small step area but they do indeed look clean.
