H13 9008 Headlight bulbs?

Does anyone know anything about the Sylvania H13XV Extravision compared to the H13ST. How about the Streeglows. Does anyone have any experience with these bulbs? Looking on Sylvania's website it states.

2010 FORD F150

High & low beam headlamp
H13 (9008)
H13ST Silverstar: The brighter and whiter light. Up to 35% brighter, up to 30% more downroad visibility and up to 35% more sideroad visibility.
H13XV XtraVision: The brighter light for upgraded performance. Up to 30% brighter light and up to 25% more downroad visibility.

But is the XV numbers compared to OEM or the Silverstars ???

I think they're both compared to a "standard halogen."

You're not going to notice that much of a difference between the two. They have minute differences, most of that is just baloney marketing

Several months ago I coun't find the Extravision for the heads. I do have the silverstars in the heads and fogs it makes a hudge differecet from OEM. They are whiter and brighter than OEM, but useful and more practical than the Japan and Korean bulbs. Those bulbs might look nice but are not very useful and don't provide much light when driving.

I can't speak for HIDS as I have never installed them to make a good comparison, for the money Silverstars are the way to go!

FX4Nick - what bulbs did you use for the Fogs 9140? You say these are brighter than the stock ones? Can you take a pic comparing the two fogs? I just received the Silverstar Headlight bulbs today. Can't wait to compare them tonight.

Look at Philips X-Treme bulbs. I had a set in my 2008 Edge and noticed a big difference. I will be ordering a set when I get back from Vacation in 2 weeks.

Also check out Daniel Stern Lighting for the straight scoop on headlight bulbs etc. He seems to be the guru on bulbs.

Just noticed this thread is a couple months old but I'll give my $0.02 anyways.

I tried Silverstars several times and never really cared for them. If you're looking for maximum performance try to find a bulb without any tint/hue on the glass. Silverstars have a tinted glass and regardless of what they say any tinting on the glass is going to decrease light output. However they do appear brighter because the ground directly in front of the truck is whiter.

Take a look at Philips Xtreme Power.
