I just got my truck tinted about a month ago. I did 20% all around.

I let it dry for 3-4 days like they said and i rolled my windows down it looked like a 5 yr old cut the film. I then looked it over and every window had bubbles and a lot of dirt in them, there was even hair in the tint.

They said that it was a fill in tint guy and i had to wait 2 weeks before there normal tint guy got back. So i took it back and had 20% on the front and 5% on eveything else. i let it dry and there is still dirt and hair in the windows.

Is it acceptable for there to be alittle dirt or a bubble in a window? I want to know when to stop complaining about it. I already have to get 2 of the windows redone.

Dirt or hair of any kind is unacceptable. Id tell them to take it off and I'd go somewhere else. If the tint guy knows what he is doing, there shouldn't be any bubbles and all the cutting should be straight and up to the bevel in the window. You should definitely find a new shop.

Im going to have them try to fix it one more time and if its not im getting my $175 back. Its a real pain to take the truck there and then go get it. Im gonna see if they will come do it in my shop since it keeps being there mistake.

Yea that is horrible. Mine looks like a factory window you cant barley even tell there is film over it except the cut line on top of the window where the tint ends

Same thing here! I had mine done 2 months ago, it didn't look very good so I went back to get it redone! He tryed 3 times to do it but it wasn't working out! He was telling me some story about it being bad tint! So I went 3 weeks with out tint, and just got it done this week again! Same dam thing, now he's saying the windows are old and the tint isn't sticking to it properly! To top it off he cut it to short at back part of window so he just used a black marker to touch it up! (yes i'm a little pi$$ed off)!

WOW that sucks Kieth! I've never heard of a window being to old. I recently had mine done on my 02 F150 and my 1990 K5 Blazer. No bubbling, dirt, hair, whatever in it. That guy just doesn't know what he's doing.

I just bought a tuxedo black 2010 F150 Supercab. The rear glass and two back door windows are factory tinted. I want to get my two front doors tinted to match but not sure what my options are. I talked to a guy who said he could do 25% on my front doors and 35% on my windshield. Do you think that will be dark enough? I'll post some before and after shots soon. I'm getting it done tomorrow.

agreed. we use llumar and it is awesome. Not all has the metal flakes though. We use the ATC in our shop...but even that is garunteed by Llumar not to turn purple. the ATR and up lines have the metalized flakes...great for back windows as it doesnt interfere with radio reception.

Anything below the AS1 line on the windshield is usually illegal in most states.

Just got mine done. 15% on the doors and 35% on the windshield. I'm not sure what kind of tint they used. I might call and ask them. It appears to match the factory tinting very nicely.
