This Just in RAPTOR. That has much more power, V8 and a real hood scoop. Not no puny V6 that can't break traction.

Yours might be quite a bit faster than ol' Timmys, but still wings are useless.

 

This just in Raptor: a V6 F150 with a non-functional hood scoop and a wing = Ricer wannaB.

Also, an F150 with glaring blue lights = also a ricer in my eyes. Reminds me of half the Civics I see in my town

 

I'd rock those lights in a heart beat.

 

My truck is a 5.4 V8 with a funchtional hood and a wing. What do you consider mine? I know the wing doesn't serve a purpose unless you can reach speeds near 200mph but I like the looks of it. My truck, My preference. ;D

If you like it, more power to you, but the general opinion is that any wings on a truck equals ricer.

 

new wheels i have been thinking about but i dont want to paint my bumpers and the mirrors dont bother me either. i drive mostly at night so painting the black bumpers grey isnt going to look much different.

yours cant break traction? my 04 AND my 08 chirp going into 2nd usually. and my 04 was a 3.08 rearend. and with a manual you can spin them off the line in anything just about. and mustang GTs of that style also had the hood scoops and they were only about 60hp more than my truck. 202hp and 260 torque out of a V6 isnt puny. thats more than a lot of the 5.0 stangs were. plus i have a CAI and also just bought a SCT with VMP tunes so that gap is even less than 60hp

Durr my truck can break lose, but can yours by just floring it, no clutch dump or anything? Can you be rolling 10 mph and just punch it and start breaking them lose, I think not.

no but my 96 trans am wouldnt either...whats your point? most of the time it depends on the type of pavement or concrete or how sticky the tires are...
and i dont understand why you are saying i would have 215hp at the wheel after the tune......and why in the hell you were laughing about it....guess i missed that one. also i dont really even try to make them spin since i have axle hop. i just know they both could spin going into 2nd gear. in the 08 thats 30mph, in the 04 i had it was 40mph. and the 04 would actually kick the rear out a little bit to the side.
and like i said before, 202hp out of a V6 isnt puny. just to put the 4.2L into perspective..i had..
78 f150 351M V8 with 4spd manual-165hp, and probably 280-300Lb-Ft
89 firebird 2.8L V6-135hp 160Lb-Ft
86 chevy C-10 5.0L V8-160hp couldnt find torque but i would guess 250ish
96 trans am LT1 5.7L V8-285hp 335Lb-Ft(under-rated, some dyno at 300-305 at the wheels stock)
90 chrysler 5th ave. 3.3L V6-147hp 181Lb-Ft
97 ranger 2.3L I4-112hp- i think 135Lb-Ft
04 f150 heritage 4.2L -202hp 252Lb-Ft
08 f150 4.2L-202hp 260Lb-Ft
notice how 2 v8s both had over 35hp LESS than the 4.2L??? and how it has the most out of the V6s???
