careful, one must be gentle when talking to "TIMMY", we must guide him, not block him

Well Timmy you have done it this time. You can come see me in Florida and I will race you. If you win I will pay for your gas to come down, if I win you stop talking about all the V8's you beat in your V6. Ill even let you go at my little V6.

it was a daytona edition, i had my radio up pretty loud and windows up and when he was beside me i could only hear his truck. after i let off at 105ish he kept going. it was a consistant pass and trust me, this thing was screaming! he went around a slight curve and past the town firehall going probably 115 or so. it is a 40mph zone about a half mile after i let off. we were in a 55 zone. my 3.3L grandma car would surprise you. it wasnt VERY quick but it would take off pretty nicely unless you were already doing over around 80mph. if you were going less than 80, it would still pull ok at 80 and beyond. i think it just wouldnt downshift into the right gear if you were already going fast. only thing i can think or is that maybe it was a 4x4, but i dont know if they made 4x4 daytonas.

i never said i would win. but i have beaten V8 trucks. actually to my knowledge i have never raced a V6 one. wait i take that back. raced 4.3L s10. maybe i will post my timeslips on here...
you are really willing to shell out like $150 in gas? i cant do it now but this is definitely not a turndown. i think for the moment, i will post my timeslips, and i will get a few videos of me racing my friend's 4.8L silverado. the videos might take awhile because it is supposed to snow a little every day for apparently the next 2 weeks. maybe later this summer after i get my tuner i will come down. you can watch me put it back to stock tune before we race. but i im not betting anything. i will take a few videos of it so i can post them for everyone to see, whether i win or lose. i mean really thats the best i can do for now. i cant take a trip anytime soon. but like i said, i am not turning down the race. i really dont have $400 to shell out on gas.

best i can do for now is post my timeslips against yours if you have any. but mine still arent at the quickest i think my truck will do. it was 45 degrees outside and i didnt have warm tires(from not being able to do a burnout from tirehop) and the track isnt the stickiest. its almost like a wet road off the line. never ran on it during the summer, but i will be doing that this summer against my buddy's 4.8 silverado. but when i do those runs, i will have hopefully a few videos plus the timeslips.

timeslips from runs 1-4. sorry they are blurry, i tried to fix it by sharpening the pics but it didnt help. if you have a Q about what some numbers are just ask. i just know the blurriness is gonna draw a BS post...in which case ill have to try to do a better picture. run 4 is the dodge ram and the video post of the race is below it. the vid doesnt show the times. and like i said, my reaction time sucks. and this one was worse because i was rolling up my window when i got green. i got green .2 seconds before the ram did. you can see me roll up my window.

Put down the crackpipe. That Daytona could have beaten you in reverse. Believe me I know. I drove a HEMI Bone stock they are fast as hell....A v6 f150 or a grandma car would have no chance in hell.

it was an older style. like a 93. the 4.3 only had around 165hp back then. now its 195 or so. and this one was a longbed. not sure if it was 4x4 or not but i doubt it. it had no markings anywhere to show 4x4. technically i lost to the S10 and the RAM but it was from my horrible reaction times. i have to go this summer and get there earlier to get my timing down. then i should be doing better. hopefully the warmer air doesnt ruin my times. but then again the tire grip wasnt so great in 45 degree weather.

the next vids from the track will be an in car view. the guy who was taking the video is my friend with the 04 silverado i mentioned. next time we go he will be racing me so i wont have anyone to hold the camera. gotta ziptie it or something. we were gonna race on this day but he wrecked his truck about 3 days before and it was getting fixed. also he put some bigger tires on it right before he wrecked it. when we raced during the summer on the street, he had the original size on. now he has i think 2 or 3 sizes bigger. ill have to try for some videos after the snow stops. and i gotta look up when the track opens again. hopefully like april or may.

quite opposite, my friend. These aren't drag slicks. standard DOT highway tires have better grip when cold. Drag slicks have better grip when hot.

I'll chip in for gas money as long as you stop by Tally. We'll go to the nearest 1/4. Stock for stock and if you want I'll have all my mods
