Recon LED 3rd Brake Light Question

I've been thinking about installing a necon 3rd brake light on my 2008 F150 because I love the look of LEDs. My question is will the Recon bed light turn on slowly and dim slowly like my current light or will it just flick on like regular LEDs? I don't know if that is some kind of wiring inside the unit itself or what?

Anybody that has one let me know. Thanks.

LEDs light up about 4x faster than incandescent bulbs. When the flasher sends out the load the LEDs and taillight bulbs will light up at the same time, but the LEDs will reach full luminous intensity much quicker than the bulbs.

It will just flick on, lol. That is a very random question. I actually got one without the reverse portion LED because the ones that come with the LED lights in the reverse are not very bright. When I get a chance (or money) im going to change the stock bulbs to something similar to what i have in my reverse lights from VLED's.

They are not meant to light up the dark. They do their job in warning people behind you that you are backing up. Besides, you cannot see the ground directly behind the tailgate, instead you use both mirrors and navigate using the OEM reverse lights placed on the corner of the bed.

Edit to add: The "3rd brakelight" is actually the small CHMSL mounted atop the cab. I like to refer to my tailgate LED bar as my "4th brakelight"

Thanks for all the help but maybe I said that wrong. I'm talking about the 3rd brake light mounted on the cab. On either side of the red brake light are white lights that illuminate the bed.

With my factory light, whenever I lock/unlock my doors remotely or open/close the doors, those bed lights will slowly turn on or slowly dim...I'm assuming they are wired with some kind of dimmer.

My question is, will the new cab mounted brake light from Recon do the same thing? Did I say that right? Lol

Oh...you're talking about the cargo lights.

I'm not sure about those NBSs, but LEDs do dim as incandescents do, so theoretically it should work.

They should still fade out like they do. I just put LED bulbs in my OEM light housings and they light up instantly, and fade out to about 100% to 30% and then flick off. Looks pretty sweet.

I was talking about my 3rd brake light, just like he was talking about his 3rd brake light. My LED 3rd brake light has normal bulbs in the cargo bay lights as the stock LED lights on the recons are not very bright.

And I can see plenty fine when reversing. Between my reverse camera and large LED reverse lights I dont have a problem seeing anything.
