I know this isn't the right forum but there has been tons of talk on windshield tint so I thought this was the fitting spot to post.
This guy passed me and I followed him to ask him how dark his tint was and when I did he never really gave me an answer. But I can tell you the doors and rear glass had 15% on it, it was easy to see into and it looked just like my front two. I walked up to the side of the truck and looked threw the windsheild and call me crazy but it HAD to be 5%. It looked just as dark as my rear windows that have 5 over 15%.

Remember his front windows are down half way so that make it seem a little lighter than it is.
And to think I'm crazy for wanting 20% on my windsheild instead of the 35 I already have.

Haha...That IS dark.
When I was in high school a friend of mine actually did have a Ford Pinto with the side and rear windows painted black (Sprayed from the inside).
Kinda like Stevie Wonder driving a "bomb" huh?

"Shucky Durn" that is dark! I have 5% on my back window I can hardly see out of it at night.. all I can see is headlights not what kind of car is behind me or nothing. Cant imagine what how hard it is to see out that. Oh and Lovethetide.. I love your XD spys im mixed on how they would look on my truck but they look awesome on yours.

The guy said that driving at knight he couldn't stand it. But after seeing how good that looked it just makes me want 20 even more.
Thanks man. If you look in the 04+ section I posted some pics I took today that show the wheels even more.

On my old truck I had the windshield tinted 30 or 35% with another 6" 20% strip at the top. Driving at night sucked, I'd usually drive with the windows down. I can't imagine what it's like to drive at night with that.
Hmmmmmm......
I love tinted windows.... but that looks almost.... uh... weird... strange... odd....
My rear, and rear sides are 5% over factory 15% or 20% (whatever the factory rear tint is ?) so I guess that works out to about 2% or 3%. All I can say is, its REALLY freaking dark.
My front sides are 15%.
For a while, I was pondering whether a cop would notice if my windshield was tinted say 30%, just driving by.... or even (but hopefully not) while pulled over.

But here's something that changed my mind, that you guys might also want to consider......
Have you ever looked through tinted glass, with "polarized" sunglasses on ??? It gets completely whacked ! Like REALLY dark, with big *** shifting rainbows of color ! I flat out couldn't drive my truck like that.....
And my glasses (and hat) go straight on my head EVERY time I leave the house ! (exceptions; at night, or a few foggy / cloudy days in Winter)
Anyway, if you haven't looked through tint with your polarized glasses, you better try it first....
Peace,

That's why I had that extra strip at the top. That was actually the tint shops idea, not mine. They said they wanted to put a strip up there over the old one to make it look stock. I had the tint on for a good year and never got any crap from the cops. Even when my truck was totaled and the cop was being a douche, he never said anything about the tint.
just noticed it says NO LOUD RADIOS on the gas pump,

^That's exactly what my guy said to do. One thing I've noticed is that all this people with their windshields done, none of them have gotten a ticket for it even if they get pulled over and get a ticket for their side windows being to dark. I got stoped one time and the cop never noticed my tint.
Fish, I had a pair of Maui Jims for awhile (got drunk and lost them in the ocean) and I actually liked seeing all kinds of weird colors on cars windshields and other things. It was sorta like everything was a HDR picture.

Yea I wasn't in the best part of town when I took those pictures. When the flash on my camera went off I think the "bro" in the silver car thought I shot a gun, although if I saw a flash I would've thought the same thing.

Looks awesome though!! I wouldnt go darker than 35% on windshield
