wait until a nice warm day (or do it in a warm garage) and use a heat gun or hair dryer and keep the badges warm (have someone keep the gun aimed on them) and use fishing string and twist it around another piece and begin "sawing" back and forth. there are two pins keeping the badges aligned, so once you get to them, you have to be careful and use a knife to cut away the sticky tape in the middle

that said, once you remove the badges, they wont be going back one unless you have new backing tape for them

Pulling the old ones off:

As you can see, the bonding glue is gone. There are THREE holes are there to ensure the badges are aligned on both sides evenly. Personally I would leave them on and acetone, with HEAVY masking off, or do a badge swap:

Before and during

After

Bummer you didn't have some side cash aside for '09 badges. Those would look real slick on your truck.

I am gonna have to pull mine off as I want to de-chrome my truck and am going to paint them. What do you suggest for reapplying them to the truck, body molding/trim tape?

Drk, AutoZone or some of those places carry double-sided badge tape. Check it out
