antenna delete mod?

antenna delete mod?

anybody done an antenna delete mod? im thinking of buying a 6 inch stubbie but i really dont need an antenna because i always use my i-pod anyway so i was wondering if anybodys done it, and nobody sells a kit for our truck that ive found so far.

you can pop out the plastic base, which leaves a hole. if you really want to, you can sand down the area, weld in a cut piece of metal to make it flush, and prime/paint/cc

if not, just stick with the shorty

They call this an antenna delete, but it looks like a really, really short antenna. Maybe an option?

Why not just unscrew the OEM one and be done with it ?

You could remove the ant. And remount at the top of the windshield and right above the headliner, so it is still the correct length to receive the right wavelenth frequencies and then just weld a plug and paint. IMO the ant. is a good judge if my roof is gonna hit inside the parking garage at school.

I just took the antenna off of my truck. I had a 12" stubbie but if I was off roading I would always bend it. So of it goes. I have XM and my iPod so the good ole fm is no longer needed.
