you want to get red ones. the lens "filters" out all other colors that arent the same color. so red LED + red lens is the best idea. white would be too "bright" and kinda become pinkish. like when you see really overused bulbs or burned-put bulbs in taillights they look pinkish cause theyre clear bulbs instead of red.

Krusedisc .... thats the price for one bulb go to autolumination they have much better pricing go to the 6th one down 19.99 for those compared to 44.99 for 2 there ..... shop around just trying to help your wallet and they are covered by a warrenty
i told him hed get a better deal on my site ...... i did all led for my truck inside and outside front and back for around 150 probably the best 150 i spent ... looks sharp ans hell and i know they arent going to burn out for a long a$$ time
check eBay, you can fidn them for cheaper. i laugh at ppl who pay $50 for LEDs when they only cost a few bucks to make.... SMTs are worth the price tho. so they will be more $$$ than regular LEDs.
yeah, thats kinda what i was trying to say. thanks for clearing that up. ive just seen those ghey looking ricer taillights on some trucks and the taillights look pinkish when the light up so the only thing i could deduce was thin, cheap plastic filters and white bulbs.
I'm going to slightly disagree with you here Raptor. You're right about the lens filtering out the other colors if you use a white bulb, but that won't make it "pinkish". It still comes out "red", but the light will be dimmer than red + red, since nothing gets filtered out when a red LED is used (assuming both have nearly equal brightness when not filtered).

Yes, I realize I spelled BULBS wrong...moving on:o
Hey guys, Im thinking about putting replacement bulbs in my factory tails. They have 18 LED's that shine forward and 6 shine radially. I really like the brightness and instant response of LED lighting and this seems like a much cheaper way to attain that result without buying $150-$300 LED tails that are ugly anyway. I would think these would be a great way to keep some more light coming through the Nite Shade tinted tails too.
So, has anyone done something like this
