HID wiring harness
HID wiring harness
First, thank you to mSaLL150 for recommending the HID harness.
I ordered mine off ebay; got two. Found out quickly that the connections are not soldered. Not impressed. I got one harness for the heads and one for the fogs. I installled the headlight harness today. When I unlocked my truck and the headlights came on they would flicker and often, only one would come on. That is now a thing of the past! So much more responsive! If you guys have HID's and do not have a harness, do yourself a favor and get one!
I was going to do a how to bu these things are stupid easy to install.
I lef the harness off my fogs because I figure I turn them on and off myslef and they do not flicker or anything.
mSaLL150,
Should I install the harness on the fogs?

I highly reccomend the harness for anyone with HIDs. After some research coupled with what I have read here the ballast sure last alot longer with the relay harness than without it. It is certainly worth the extra $25!
yes, you should. I didnt have one on mine at first and they were fine for a month, but then one side wouldnt turn on. So i added the harness and bam they are perfect now. Avoid the trouble before it starts, just put it on.

Well. I found some replacement HI/LO 9007-3 bulbs with a harness. They look exactly like the bulbs I have now...
Bad news is they are $10 more than the whole kit I purchased. It's going to have to wait a month until I can finish what I already started (bumper) plus I need new shocks soon.

Hi all, new here.
I have a 93 Bronco Eddie Bauer and while I realize they are not an F150, they are practically mechanically identical as everyone probably knows.
Anyways, just curious to know what harness you are all talking about. I have the 9007 HID bi-xenons and the light output is great on the lowbeam side of things, but switched to highbeam and all it does is focus the light forward, it doesn't point it upwards. Did I get the wrong bulbs by chance? I can start another thread if needed.
