Todays trip :-)

Well, my truck is finally learning it's purpose in life :-)

Smoked out sky and all....

Found this cool little guy on the boat dock....

Is it just me, or is this just the prettiest little Brown Bullhead :-) Only about 10", but just as healthy as it could possibly be. Caught it while fishing for my bait, but hardly nothing will eat a catfish, so it went back unharmed.

On the way out.... I thought the truck and the boat, looked great in this lighting....

Can't wait to be back out there in about 10 hours ;-)

Peace,
Fish

Nice Chris.

I know you've already heard it, but you need to look into some darker tails.

My truck's doing the same thing while I'm on vacation right now. Really impressed with our trucks towing abilities.

Thanks guys....

And about those tail lights..... I feel kind of dumb to admit this, but I sat down like 3 weeks ago, pulled up the page to order my HD lights, and thought that I did so, but must have got distracted by something {dang AADD} because I waited for more than a week, before I figured out that I forgot to order them ! Doh ! :-)

Those are now like #2 on my list though, right behind a power amplifier which is going for a steal of a deal..... but is a limited edition, and when their gone, their gone, so.....

That, and my Patriot decals....

Oh.... and my 1" rear lift.... because just as I expected, my truck "with" the boat on it, and my tackle in the bed, rides about an inch low in the rear.

Peace,
Fish

Dang we could use that boat to troll the canal near my duck club...every year it floods the timbered area and you can blast wood ducks and mallards all day long.

I think the bug is wide eyed at how badass of a match your truck and boat make.

That is a sharp ride!

I love that color! The black wheels and no white letter tires really set off the look.

Nice pics, what camera are you using?

Thanks again guys....

Hey mSaLL, yea' we have lots of great duck hunting in my area, but all I do is fish. Seems fun though. I've just always had a thing for camo :-)

Hey pgh, those were taken with my little Canon A640. I actually have three Canon A series cameras.... My A630 and A640 are my fish photo cameras. I carry those, and my certfied scale, in a little Pelican 1400 case....

When your fishing for trophy sportfish, which you plan to release, you have to have good photos + a back-up camera :-)
Then I have my A650IS for my car-cam, which I carry in a little micro Pelican.
Anyway, I think the Canon A series are a lot of bang for the buck. They run like $250 to $350, and while they usually do a great job set to full auto, they also allow for lots of manual control.

Peace,
Fish

Darnit.... I wanted to be out there again today.... but a 100 degree heatwave, and lots of chores to do :-( That's okay, it will only get better as Fall comes on :-) Whooo Hooo !

Fish, instead of a rear lift, have you thought about a weight distributing hitch? You can set it up so your truck would "sit" exactly the way it does empty (except for being just slightly lower in BOTH the front and rear). You wouldn't need a heavy-duty one and your boat would tow better. I have one for my trailer, which is heavier than what you tow of course, and the truck and the trailer sit perfectly level. The nice thing about these hitches is they transfer the load forward so your front wheels retain good contact with the road.

That's a good-looking brown bullhead! (To a lady bullhead if it's a male). Am I going senile again or havn't you described your truck as being a dark metallic "green"? Every picture of your truck you post looks very metallic brown to me. Somehow, I thought it might look more like that bullhead. However, it's a purdy vehicle!

Hey Jack.....

I think if my boat were bigger / heavier, I might consider a weight distributing hitch, but as it is, I'm using a 5600 lb truck, to pull a 1000 boat :-)
Heck, I remember back when I towed the same boat with my old Toyota Tacoma, and you could really feel it yank the truck around. Now, I have to look back there every now and again, just to make sure the boat is still there ;-)
About the color, Ford calls it Stone Green, but yes, your right, it looks anywhere from dark chocolate brown, to a light gold brown, with tons of gold mettalic. Then, sometimes it looks almost charcoal. But green ? I've heard a few people say they can see a hint of olive in it, but I think that's a stretch.

Thank you MTech.

Peace,
Fish
