Arrow Check it out!!! Awesome appearance mod!

Any 97-03 guys think of this simple appearance "update?" Done using Krylon Gloss Black Fusion and a HELLUVA LOT of duct tape (didnt have any masking tape)

SORRY D, I KNOW I'M GOING TO BE KILLING YOU WITH THE FUMES

Before:

After:

Also did my bed rails:

I was going to do a write-up, but its so simple to do. just mask and spray. I know a bunch of you are going to say: "you've got overspray on your truck!" well I got a tiny brush with a dab of min. spirits and it came right off. Also going to wash my truck as soon as it dries so I get the spirits off my paint.

I wouldn't wash Fusion until its been allowed to dry longer than 24 hours. I did and it comes right off. After 24 hours though it seems to be good to go.

Looks good btw!

Looks good. Need to update that 3rd brake light now, it shows its age beside a fresh coat of paint.

Yeah, I just wiped it a few times with PlastX and it cleared it up. I will be getting a smoked LED one so it will blend in. Maybe a L brakelight.

Edit: w00t, big 2,000 posts. Half of which were not even on topic or useful in any fashion, form, or way

it looks real good though! the surround matches the window know even! do you have a tint on the back window?

im so excited to get my stuff painted in the next few weeks!! i will just put my pictures in this thread, or maybe just start my own...

expy, do you see something actually on the window or are you talking about the truck? cause the window had lips and I wrapped newspaper AROUND the window then taped it off. its physically impossible for paint to get on the window. but i did get some on the truck, but mineral spirits took it right off.

have fun D and yes, I believe it has 15% on it now. when it starts peeling, im going to put 5% rear, 15% sides

Did you even do any prep work?

If you didn't, I can't see it lasting or looking good for over 6 months. Being out in the elements and all...

It does look good now though.
