Another DIY Headlight Mod

I finally got around to the headlights,

heres a few pics.

I taped off a little trim rimg around the blinker in pic 3 to match the main light wasnt sure if i was going to like it but it turned out really well.

Right now there all straped up waitng for the RTV to dry, then a quick trim,

I will get some pics of them on the truck tommorrow its suppose to be nice outside.

Looks good. How about the side marker lights, are you going to leave those orange? I've seen some that are clear and look real good with the black housing.

Yea there going to stay orange, I have already sealed them back up. I suppose later on down the road if I decied to change them it should be easier seperating the lense. Even baked I really needed to manhandle these to get them apart.

I left a little more chrome showing then I originally planned but I thought with the chrome grill I didnt want to take too much. I guess well see when there on tomorrow.

You did the oven trick?

240 for 7 min, to get them started , then 1 min at a time every so often as they were cooling. they really needed to be forced apart, i thought they were going to crack luckly they didnt.

Looks awsome! Im getting ready to paint mine as well soon. Only I dont want any orange so Im painting over the reflectors. Do they make new turn signal bulbs that will look good that arent orange and arent illegal?
