I am in the process of doing mine right now. I am waiting for the paint to dry overnight and then im going to reassemble and reseal them. So far it has been super easy. I havent had any problems at all. You have more than enough time to do them over the weekend. Go for it!

Ill definately post pics. I didnt use any tape because I painted everything black, so dont know what to tell ya there. I put them in the oven at 250 for 8minutes and i didnt have any trouble at all getting them apart.(2 people prying them apart at a time makes the process 100x easier)

I have been thinking of ways to keep them together. I think I might try some pandoit(<Spelling?) straps with a 2x4 on top of the lights and some weights on top of the 2x4. Just a thought, not sure if thats what im going to do yet

pretty much the same thing / method.

The fog light bulb broke and left shards of it between the chrome and the lens so this was really my test to see if I was going to like it, Just incase I didnt I bought 2 new housings from the dealer ( i might do this mod then ebay them.. not sure yet )

The chome plating didnt come off on the headlights , I was worried about that as well because when cleaning the fog light it came off rather easily.

When I did mine, I just taped them off , used some prep wipes to remove any grease and oil from where i was going to paint. I didnt do any sanding, I used 1500 degree high heat engine enamel ( the can i had for touching up inside of the stangs exhaust tips ) as for drying time , I didnt wait long, however long it took to take the other one apart and get preped , maybe 1hr. then just reassembled carefully.

After seating the lense back into the fresh bead of RTV I held the lense in place with a ratching tie down strap, these stayed strapped overnight as I didnt need the truck then

Do you have to use hi heat paint or is the regular duplicolor accent paint ok to use? That is what I used on my mirrors and also what I plan to use on my door handles this weekend and I wasn't sure if the same could be used for headlights or not.

I used high heat. It gets hot inside that light housing.

Roush: very nice truck, i really like it alot!

I too just did the headlight mod this weekend, it is really easy and looks great. I really thought it was going to be a pain in the *** to remove the clear cover but for me it was super easy. I had mine removed and taped up ready to paint in an hour.

I had some real carbon fiber sheet lying around and i put it to use. After looking at it for 3 days i am not sure where i stand on it.

Anyways on to the pix:
