DO you have the "up-down" type bixenon bulb?

You said that the lights are aimed higher so I am almost possitive that that is the type you have. On the low setting, the bulb points downwards, moving the little ball in the bulb that creates the light down inside your housing. Its at a lower point so the light hits the reflector at a more extreme angle and send the light a little higher into the air.

IF you have the in-out type bixenon, I believe the light source is slightly more forward than stock. Its not as extreme as the other type of bulb, but it may have that effect also.

Just use the screw on the back of your headlights to point them down. FInd a level place next to a wall, use some tape and mark the current cutoff. adjust the screws so that the beam goes lower on the wall, measure from the original cut-off marked by the tape and make sure the 2 sides are even. adjust a little, drive around, adjust a llittle, drive around, and so on and so forth till you are happy. Its easy... You wont have any trouble.

As for the screw... I just used vicescripts.

I hope this helps!

Your right headlights shutoff? Is it still doing it? I am assuming that is 10k I am seeing? Its pretty blue. My 8k is almost white.

Both times I had the lights on before I started the truck, and it was when the truck was started that it went out.

The picture makes it look more blue than they are. They're supposed to be 6000K, but these are never labeled.

It's common. Most of these kits are not high quality. I mean just look at where they are made ...

No offense but this is why I dont purchase cheap items or try to save money on certain things. I paid $400 for my HID's with a 2yr warranty and its well worth it.

Check them out

I have the exact same kit, no problems..... These are aimed higher than the low only kit. Check your ground, With my first kit I did not have it grounded good and my passenger headlight would shut off. This time I connected it directly to the battery and it works fine!

I'm going nuts here. Got all 4 ballasts installed tonight and I'm still running into trouble. Remember how I said that I was having trouble with the right headlight. Well since it did it on the new ballast I swapped it over to the left headlight. Now it doesn't even want to fire, but you can hear the buzz in the ballast trying to ignite it. On top of it all the headlights are a brighter color than the fogs. Couldn't tell yesterday because I haven't had them both on together in a couple weeks.

I need a beer.

Ok, the one new bulb didn't want to ignite, so I took them both out and put in my old bulbs. I'll probably have to have the bulb replaced under warrenty, and at the same time try and see if I can get them in 6000K to match the fogs.

Well I sent him an email today about my bad bixenon bulb and about them being the wrong color. When they are working though I got a good mod already done for it. I did the high beam/fog mod just now. Now when I trigger my high beams my fogs will stay on not putting as much stress on the fog HID's. I noticed to that this solves the problem of having the high beam light on while running the fog lights and heads at the same time.

Dave did a good job on the write up for this and it's extremely easy to do and I had all the stuff needed in my garage.

sucks you are having all these issues with ballasts and bulbs etc.

I havent had any issues with mine for over 8 months, but i also dont use the remote key to unlock (which keeps the ballasts firing on and off a lot).

I actually had my driver's side not ignite after installation of the harness. It only did it once and I turned the lights off and back on and it kicked on.

I am going to do the high beam/fog mod too. Its stupid easy to do and will be sweet to have.

Just got the new bulbs installed. Didn't have to ship the old ones back and no shipping charges. I'll admit I've gone through alot with these, but he has always gotten me my stuff.

One thing though these are the 8,000K and my fogs are 6,000K, but I actually like the look a little. I'll snap some pics when I go out tonight.

Thumbs down

Dude,
As a business owner myself, that is just wrong. You have no ethics what so ever. You don't give personal information about a person out no matter what. It’s a calculated risk to buy on eBay and we all take that risk when we buy. You provided a proof surrogate statement, meaning there is no actual fact in anything you said, not one bit. If it is true, show the proof. Not to mention that you’re a competing business so that immediately eliminates all possibility of a your opinion being neutral. Two thumbs down for slamming a competing company. Bad business tactics.
