cab lights?

cab lights?

could i put led bulbs in my cablights? the one that are on your roof?

yes. but if you have them wired to your blinkers, they will flash faster than the other lights

You're talking interior lights, right? If so, sure. Just find the correct replacement (there's several threads on this forum you could use or do a search for the bulb size and "LED") - like this for "3156 LED" which is what I started out with when I looked for LED backup lights.

They will "fit" just fine. But, they MAY not give you the light effect you want and they WILL be more expensive to buy. But, they last forever (unless you pump the wrong voltage into them) and they draw much less current than the OEM bulbs.

cab lights are the ones on the top of the truck on the outside. like the F250s have

actually they are called "clearance lights" people call them cab lights roof lights and some even call them running lights.

but they are clearance lights!

i just bought some thats why i know!

I call them cab/running lights.

You can run LEDs in them. In fact, you can run LED's in just about every light component on your truck- even the ash tray light!

You should see what bulb type they are, but they may/may not fit correctly.

Sorry I was so dense! :o

But, back to the original question, if you want something to light up the "trees" at night, you're not going to get that effect with LEDs. If you want blubs to fit into something like amber running light housings though, try
