hmmm. did your stock lights flash when you unlocked the doors? when the HIDs initially turn on the jump (about 25000-50000 volts) ignites the gas then it takes a very low draw to maintain the light. what is probebly happening is when you unlock and they turn on its gives the first one just enough juice to ignite and the second one gets about half what it needs. this is strickly theory but it makes sense in my tiny little brain

next to the frame by the tow hooks theres an indentation where they literally fit perfectly snug. it was like Ford made these slots specifically for ballasts.

I installed my kit over the weekend... install went pretty well. They are flat out bright! I was skeptical but am now impressed.

Does anybody elses switch from low to high before shutting off?

Yes it is just the internal solenoid straightening. All the Xentec Bixenon kits do this.

With the HID kit the lights flicker because of the power needed to ignite. I have the same kit. If you hook up a relay it will distribute the power when you unlock your doors and eliminate this problem. I do not know all the specifics and my electrical friend helped with my install but explained it to me briefly. They are gorgeous lights for our trucks and really are the best appearance mod.

I have a question for you guys running Bi-xenon kits (hi and lo beams) How do like the output of the high beams? My low beams work fairly well but when I turn on the high beam they point straight to the ground! I thought I might have the bulbs in upside down but tore everything apart and they are in right (only one way to go in) I checked to make sure the bulbs are working properly, when on low beam the lights are straight and when I hit the high beams the bulbs telescope up. Not sure whats going on, but thought maybe one of you would have run into this.

Thanks for any help!
