60" Fire & Ice?
60" Fire & Ice?
Most websites are selling them for $69.99/.95- Is anyone out there finding them for cheaper (new and in box.) Also, those who have it (not including FireStorm owners, I dont like amber turn signals) how easy is it to install and any pics? I was doubting it but saw it today on a F-150 passing me and looks sick. Only bad thing is that I won't ever get to see it in action!
Also, whats the difference between this and the Line of Fire?

The clear/white LEDs on the Fire & Ice are useless. You can hardly tell they're even on at night. They're simply for show/looks.
If there's a decent price difference between the Fire & Ice and the Line of Fire, save yourself some money and get the Line of Fire. The white LEDs aren't worth it.

Ok, if the LoF is only $25 and the F&I is $70, then the F&I must be a lot better quality. Is the color of the LED's the only thing different? If you guys could, I'd like to see a close-up of both of them in the day time to see what their profile looks like in the daytime. This is my next mod as soon as I get paid, I'd like to establish a difference between the two and pick one before I go beserk, lol. Thanks!

People sometimes follow me to the store and when i get out my truck and ask me where i bought the lights......i like em even though i can never see em.......but when im driving behind my wife and she hits the brakes its pretty brights......very easy to install and in the day time u wont see em unless you really look for them. Im trying to find some brighter headlights....i changed the bulbs to the cool blue and still not happy.....
I'll agree, they're worth every penny. I have the regular Line of Fire and I get a lot of comments about it.
Extremely easy install, just remove the tailgate to get it done fast. You just need two people, unhook the cables, have the tailgate at a 45 Degree angle and pull it out. I got mine for $50 shipped on Ebay about a week before the prices started dropping like a rock.
Also yes, they are extremely bright in the dark. The first time I went behind it and told my friend to hit the brakes, it hurt my eyes. People will definitely know when you're stopping lol. The best part is the people that pull up behind you at a red light, then you look in the rear view mirror and they are squinting

I put the F&I on 2 trucks so far an '03 F250 Scab and a '96 F150 XLT. After more than 2yrs they still work great. Had the L-O-F on same trucks before but both burned out-water got in thru the end of the tube & shorted out.
Just added a Rampage #960136 60" bar to my '06 F150 Scab. It is much brighter than the F&I. Exactly the same bolt pattern & placement for the self-stik pads.
I've never used the pads. Install depends on how fast you can mark holes & drill the 5 holes--best to use #6-32x3/4 bolts, washers & nuts. You can use the finish washer from the original pads also.
Nothing looks worse than a light bar that is off-center! No matter which brand.
Here's a quik tip-- While holding the lite, center the bar before attaching, then measure from the last RH bulb to RH the edge of the truck bedwall, do the same from the first bulb on the LH side to the LH bedwall ( it'll be about 2.375" or so --->don't include the wires in measurement). Adjust the placement l-to-r so it is even and mark the center hole w/ a scribe,a marker or whatever. Remove the bar, drill center hole & use 1 bolt to hold in place as you mark the rest of the holes. Mark the other holes as above, remove the bar & drill 'em out. Then bolt all up w/ the power cord on the LEFT side.
Plug into the factory 4-pin. I remove the LH taillight & tap the WHITE wire into the striped reverse light wire-there's plenty of room to hide the wires if you want a superclean install.
FYI-The maker of Line of Fire, Fire & Ice & that new one w/ sequential orange lights for the turn signals (US$169-202.00) is PlasmaGlow and they just bought out Rampage.
I have found that sometimes the local shops have slightly better pricing than on e-bay when you add the shipping especially if you're like me & want it now.

Hmm.....I didn't know that it was a bolt-on job..... I dunno now... Taking the tailgate off is a big no-no for me. Not only would I have nobody to help me do it, but if I drop the sucker....
I thought it was a simple adhesive backing..
