One of the reasons i did not do that is no one is going to see my amps, my seats dont fold down. i just wanted to organize it a bit. i admit i could do better hahaha but it works for now. maybe when i get sick of this setup ill do something like those pics
Thats like me saying , why run my wires neatly behind the panel , no one is going to see them . But I would know if their not neat . Look at all the pictures in this thread of amps mounted on the back wall . They are mostly of the newer F150's , that the rear seats don't fold down . How much better would they look if they apeared flush mounted ? That is weard thet you seen my install on Cardomain/Sounddomain , as I've never been on either site .

Low , Just curiuos what picture in this thread do you like that has neat wires ? Are you saying it's ok to run your Power , RCA's ,Remote , IP-Bus , Etc above the carpet in the vehicle ? You could attach them to the carpet using Superglue , Duck Tape , or Plastic ties . Are you saying this would be ok if the wires were ran neatly ?

None really, If I had to pick one itd be yours. Not the CA glue, HELL NO TO DUCT TAPE, zip ties I dont mind and then no above carpet running... I was talking about how I dont need the flush mount (although it does look good), but I like neat wire runs to the amps.

That made no sense, Im just going to quit...

https://www.f150online.com/forums/sp...urn-build.html - More why I say they dont have to be flushed but wires do need thought.

V - and before you pick it apart, you will, there was more done after as far as paneling but I never got pics of it.

Yes looks very good . But my point was that people spend the time to do the long cable runs the right way (like your photo) but then they expose all the wiring at the amplifiers (Right where the most wiring is seen ). If you have 3-4 amps , a couple distribution blocks and a cap , that is a whole lot of wiring exposed .

Now that looks good because the wire exits the audio equipment and dissapears into a panel . I have a few things in my install like that(See Photo's) . It doesn't always have to be flushed , I only flush things when there isn't room to top mount the piece , and go through a panel ( Like behind the seats in our trucks. Thats why I suggested flushing the amps Because thats really the only way of hiding the wires .

Jeez Low
Why do you automatically think I'm going to pick it apart . I would rather help people get a better sounding and looking system . Now sometimes I might give some constructive critisicm , but I hope people don't take it the wrong way . I will take my share as well . That Saturn looks fine to me .

Nah, I know you have a detailed eye/ear. Therefore, you will see the imperfections and I know you voice your opinion most of the time. Plus, you give me a hard time alot...

you dont really drill through the exterior metal. there are some areas where you can drill and wont exit the cab.

I mounted a board to one of these support ribs and then the amplifier to the board.
