P4004 bridged running Alpine TypeR Components....help with settings
I decided to bridge my P400-4 4 channel amp to 2channels and run my front door speakers (Alpine TypeR 6.5" components). I have the amp set at high pass and gain is about 3/4 of the way up. What should my frequency be set at? I have it turned all the way down and have no distortion? The rear speakers (JVC TypeR 5x7s) are running off the deck only (JVC's KD-HDR1). I'm not sure if my settings are not right or what but it sounded better when I was running the amp to all speakers instead of just the front.
I did search the forums and couldn't find the answer I needed.

I had a buddy of mine adjust the gains while I sat up front so I could hear the changes. I set the gains a tad more than half way and it sounds great. I just had too much power up front compared to the rest of the system. It's sounding really good now. The deck pushes just enough power to the rear doors for nice fill.

Comparison please... Like I said, I have been kicking this one around for a while now.
