Alpine Amps... What's your opinion?

Alright, I've just spent the last two days searching and reading tons of different threads on here.

I'm looking for amps for my 'system'. I use 'system' lightly because I'm only looking to power my Pioneer 3-Way coaxials and 1 8" ED sub. I'm looking at these two amps...

Alpine MRP-M450 for the sub...

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-bmcV0kN...50&cc=01&wm=cl

and

Alpine MRP-F250 for the speakers...

http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...MRPF250&tp=115

I come to you the experts for advice. Are these decent amps? Anybody have experience with them? Any reason specifically I should not get them? Any other suggestions that won't cause me to go broke?

Thanks!

I love those amps. I do like the F450 better though... (more power...)

I have the m-450 in my truck powering 1 kicker comp vr 15"(underpowered I know) But I love it. The reason I went with such a small amp is because when I had my 1200 watt amp it was just toooo much bass and got really annoying. The Alpine is amazing and it pushes that sub amazingly well. The sound quality is also amazing. Like with this amp it is very smooth and with my 1200 watt amp you could feel every little thing like being ruff. Definetly get it!

Awesome! Thanks guys.

So I ordered the M450 from Crutchfield and I purchased the F250 from Best Buy.

If anybody is looking at these right now Both are going for $149 on Crutchfield and at Best Buy the F250 is on sale for $104 for some reason... but the M450 is $210... weird. Just FYI.

Good choice. I have the M450 and the F450. To tell you the truth, I would upgrade to the F450 for the price.

Trust me.

I've got very similar Alpine amps and they were highly recommended. I got a 450 4 channel for the speakers and 650 for the 2 JL subs. Price didn't hurt the decision either, Kickers were nicer but alot more, JL's more still for a hair better performance.

My speakers can only handle 50watts RMS and the F250 delivers 40 while the F450 delivers 70. Since I have no plans on going with different speakers the 450 would be a waste and the 250 a perfect fit. That's my reason for choosing it.

You'll be fine then. I wished I would have got the F550. I picked mine up used though.

Good luck and make sure to take pics of your install and post back on your review of the overall setup.
