Just finished filling my truck up, $2.86 for 87 octane. Price has fluctuated from $2.79 to $2.90 here in south Mississippi. I can get it cheaper at places like Wal-Mart and a few in town quicki marts, but I refuse to put that crappy gas in my truck.

$4.00 has arrived.

It's 3.99.9 (that's 4 dollars unless you're carrying around .9cent pieces) for self serve supreme unleaded (the only type I can use) at about half a dozen places I went by today (I was able to snap shots of two of them) -

Here was a cheaper place in Brentwood at only $3.95.

Although they wanted $4.50 for full service.

$4.50 easy by summer if the economic depression doesn't hit first.

I'm already paying $3.50 for regular self-serve here in San Diego. I don't think there are any full-service gas stations here? At least I've never seen one.

Anyways, I suspect $4.00 87 octane in the next coming months here in Diego.

Probably looking at close to $5 here come summer. I cant believe they are bitching about the lack of refineries, both Esso and Shell had one each here and both closed them down.

3.25 Chicago suburbs. I think it will climb untill memorial day and level off for a week or two. By the 4th I would'nt be suprised to see 4-4.50. Discount gas is 3.09 and it still cost me 75.00 to fill it. I fill up twice a week so that is $600 a month thats almost a 40hr check. Kinda scary when gas prices go up like a union pay scale

$3.19 here for 87 regular. Diesel is $2.79 in town, and about $2.53 - $2.65 at the truck stops along the highway...

I had to do it. I am now sending the wife to work in the F150 and I am taking her Camry to work and back this week. At least it is an SE so it's not too bad. Considering she drives about 50 miles a week to work and I drive 50+ round trip per day it will save some $ on gas.

I'm in the same boat, the wife's going to start working from home so soon I'll start commuting in the Accord and just using the F150 for joyrides. Gas is up to $3.36 a gal for 87, it's sick paying almost $100 to fill the tank, and it's only getting worse each time I do it.....

It's more like bend over for the gas companies, and there's no smiley for that.

The Saudis used over 2 million barrels of oil per day in 2006, and the Iranians used 1.7 million. India, a faster growing economy with far more people, used 2.5 million. (By comparison, the U.S. used about 24 million barrels a day, nearly 10 times as much as India despite having a population nearly four times as small and an economy just three times bigger.)
Gotta love the US of A.

When I checked the odometer on my truck when the wife got home, she had gone exactly 4 miles which is a round trip drive to work for her, I had 60!
