It cost me $6.50 to fill up my motorcycle tank this morning..... what a scam... Couple days on the bike to and from work makes a huge difference in the amount of gas that otherwise gets dumped out my Maggie exhaust on the truck. Some may say, wait, you spent all that money on a bike now that gas prices are high?? No, I've had it since '00, when gas was cheap (at least to my generation). It's paid for, costs me $140 a year to insure w/ full coverage, and better yet, I enjoy riding as much as I like my truck. MY truck gets exclusive use in the winter, it's all aout sharing...

Exactly... I just got into bikes last year and not due to gas prices. The savings at the pump are a great benefit but the smile on my face and the enjoyable commute are priceless. I rode most of the winter, and the truck was so neglected I traded it in before it started to break down in jealousy.

If it wasnt for the BS insurance rates it would cost me a few bucks a day for gas to go to work instead of the $40 it costs me every three days with the truck.

If I was to put the bike back on the road my insurance costs would triple, and Id still be using the truck on my days off anyways to haul the boat.

In 98 when I graduated high school I was paying $0.89 and it took all of $35.00 to fuel up my 94. Those were the good ole days.....

Now over $110 to fuel up either of the trucks, I really want the good ole days back!!!

If i was worried about fuel mileage i would buy a beater bike. in fact if i find a good deal I'll buy one just for commuting on.
Right now I'm saving a bunch by riding my bike but, i ride it mainly on the weekends and evenings.

After converting everything, I paid
$5.08 a gallon this morning for Shell V-Power 91 octane. ($1.21 CND per Liter)
The May 24 long week-end is upon us, so the fawkers jacked it up again right in time for everyone to leave town.

I get more klicks from Shell 91 than any other brand up here, including Sunoco 94 which contains ethonal(sp) and costs more.

Regards
H
