My Wife's Merc G500 gets 12 mpg and requires premium! Oh well, still love driving our trucks.

 

I just bought Sunoco 93-octane for $3.18 that's a lot, but better than it's been
87-octane was $2.98

 

89 octane around here hovers near $3.12 at Chevron/Mobil 1 etc.. I hate Shell and all their stupid detergents and crap, just give me some quality gas.

Diamond Shamrock is my favorite though because they have 91 octane for about $3.10 and it's got really good quality.
Around here though there aren't any Ethanol pumps and 93 octane isn't available anywhere from gas stations. You have to go to the drag strip for higher octane stuff or order it on the internet.

 

87 here is $2.76.

Since we pay by the liter up here, most areas are paying over $4.00 a gallon for 87(roughly 4 liters to a gallon).

 

1 US gallon = 3.7854118 liters

 

1 IMP gallon=4.546092 liters, which is what we go by.

 

We go by US gallons. You Canadians need to make up your minds, eh?

 

Yesterday in Santee CA I paid $2.85 for 87 octane at Costco.

With this, per liter here it's about $0.993 a liter, first time in a long time it's been under a buck (let's celebrate ) it works out to $3.76/us gall. Our money is basically on average right now at par. In Detroit, it's about $2.89 a gallon average.

Prices of gas, man, they really want us driving Prius' don't they? This is probably the single most exploited consumer need out there. Long topic, I know

 

Price are running 3.01-3.05 for 87 and 89 oct, and 3.22-3.27 for 92 oct. These prices are here in WI, going across to MN (only a 15 min drive) the price are about $0.20/gal cheaper.

Diesel prices have been coming down, in WI we are paying 3.45. In MN it is 3.34.
