Well gas is $3.19 here in town, $3.15 in the closest "city" 60,000 people and just across the ole mississippi river in minnesota it is $3.02. Yes they are high, but don't sound bad compaired to what some of you are paying. Here is how I am saving on gas and actually have been doing this for the last 3 years. Once the low temp hits about 45 deg, I ride my Yamaha Zuma moped/scooter to work. Since most of the jobsite that I work at are within 5-6 miles of my house the little scoot works great!

Like right now the jobsite is 5ish miles from my house, so I have a 10-11 mile round trip which isn't very much. But when my work truck only gets 10-11 mpg and gas is over $3.00 it adds up. Right now is costs me about $16.00 to drive my work truck the total of 60 miles a week that I put on going to and from work. But with the Zuma that gets 85-95 mpg it only costs me about $2.00! Granted the Zuma won't win any races since it tops out to about 42 mph with me on it (200lbs) and 45 mph with my fiance riding (135lbs).

Zuma's were the ****. I had a SR50- Elite. I wish I would have kept it, I would have put a stroker/ big bore kit on it and would bit about 70 mph.

My Zuma is an 05 with only 640-650 miles on it. This winter I think that I am going to put a 70cc big bore kit, change the clutching, and pipe it. I have been told that with just those 3 mods it will do 60 mph, but I will have to mount a GPS to the bars so I know how fast I am going since the stock speed only goes up to 40mph.

Well we hit $3.04 here for 87 octane, I know not as much as some, but still not cheap. Oil companies continue to reach record profits and my wallet continues to pay record prices.

Why can't it already hit $4.00 a gallon? All this speculation and taunting of it, do it already mother****ers.

Everybody knows that the price of gas is just something we have to deal with, nothing we can do about it. No matter how high it gets, we will all still buy it. Sure our CI's might change to help dimisish the cost, but hey, I'm all about buying some of Exxon's stocks
