Sadly, now that OPEC is cutting production (to stop the price from freefalling) the price is starting to flatten. Here in California it is at 2.29-2.36 regular most cheap places.

Of course as all the left knows, OPEC loves Bush and has allowed the oil prices to drop to help Republicans. After all, Venezuela’s Chavez and Iran's Ayatollahs are such good friends of the Republicans...
No, wait a minute; don't the Ayatollahs and Chavez strongly support the Democrats? Yep that's right, so they must have just become confused and let the prices drop by accident. Sure that's the ticket...

For those who actually can reason, check out this site;
http://www.sanbernardinogasprices.co...ice_chart.aspx

set it to look at three years and look at crude prices.

Notice how it always drops at certain times of year, and always rebounds at other times. Notice they are the SAME TIMES each year. Notice this pattern has gone on for almost thirty years, no matter who was president, congress critter or Imperial senator.
Wow, could it be the market?
NAH must be conspiracy.

Too many people watch too much TV.

By the way, that gas price site is fantastic. If more people used it, price would be lower.
Free site and really great for finding good prices and avoiding high prices.

You are buying taxes and 'free health care'. Canada is a major exporter of gasoline and soon will be the major supplier of crude to the US. Take the tax of your gas and it's cheaper than ours.
And we pay about 75 cents a gallon tax here in California. Gas is still about 227.9 at the cheapest places, 2.33 most low price places.

Yeah I know. and every Gov sucks lol.

The health care is free but you get what you pay for. ( You wouldn't want to get sick here.) Service sucks.

Yup. I lost my brother-in-law in BC a few years ago, at 57 years old. His pacemaker went bad and he was on a waiting list for a new one.
Seven months.
He died at 5 months.
I was diagnosed as needing a pacemaker last August. They put it in the next morning... and that's with my crummy insurance. Of course, I did have to pay 100 bucks co-pay.

I'm seeing gas at 230.9 local today, Costco.
It's only gone down 3 cents in two weeks, looks like it has near bottomed here in California.
We have a proposition in the next election that will raise gas at least 50 cents a gallon and it will probably carry. Peoples Republic of Kalifornistan.

The usual reason. The same reason New Jersey voted for its own no fault insurance. The bill was presented as a way to punish the evil insurance companies and save the people money. New Jersey people have paid between 2 and 3 times as much for insurance as the national average ever since.
Or the same reason Oregon banned self service gas stations. To protect the people from being forced to pump their own gas. It has cost the Oregon people thousands of bucks per person. It seems you pay a lot more for the privilege of having an illegal spill gas on your paint, or scrap the side of your car with the nozzle.

This bill is presented as a way to punish the evil oil companies, to create a miracle fuel to replace gasoline, and to insure no evil oil companies drill for oil, build infrastructure in California or do anything else to actually deal with the problem.

Its main purpose is to establish a huge bureaucracy with lots of great paying jobs for attorneys and their friends.

Allegedly it is to see to that California develops new fuel sources (From magic beans apparently), to prevent pollution,(like we didn’t already have the most economically hostile environmental laws in the world) and to keep the evil corporations from making any profit on selling oil, gas, etc. in California ( Sorta like Hawaii did a few years ago. Prices went up there faster than anywhere else).

Somehow you can always sell the people on 'curing' their problems by turning it over to the government.
No one remembers that ever working, but somehow most people want someone else to fix things for them and tell them it will be OK.

The battle cry of the bureaucracy is “SOMETHING MUST BE DONE”. Whenever they say that, batten down the hatches, it’s gonna be a bumpy ride, and you won’t like where you are going.

Gone up 20 cents here.
DUH, anyone notice that we are going to pull out of Iraq in the next few months?
OPEC and the whole Middle East watched the election. They are predicting gas at 4.50 a gallon by June.

Historically gas has dropped till January then gone up.
This is the first time in decades it went up in November. The wholesale price is gonna skyrocket. Plus the oil companies, the gas station owners, the distributors, know prices are going through the ceiling now that we are running.

For those that have no knowledge of pricing (i.e. those who get their 'news' from the alphabet channels) wholesale prices are not set by oil companies. They are set by the countries that supply the oil. In other words, Venezuela, Mexico, and the Middle East.
Where they are celebrating our defeat in Iraq as I type.
We elected people that have pledged to pull our troops out, NOW. And they are going to do it. The cost of gasoline is only one of the things we can look forward to.

Those of us who remember when the Democrats cut off the budget to Vietnam have been through this before. Nothing new, the Democrat congress shut off the budget, we had to run, and Nixon got blamed.
McGovern is bragging that 'we will do it again'.
He is the guy that the ‘new’ Democrats are appointing to see how soon we can cut an run again.

They are already drafting the bill to shut off the funds to Iraq, Bush will get blamed and the press will win another round.
After you live through this a couple times you aren’t surprised, just disgusted.

Chris
