2011 F-150 Lowering Factory Running Boards
Hey All,
I have an ‘11 F-150 XLT 4x4, It has the Factory running boards, as anyone that has them knows, they are about worthless as they are right up under the body. I’ve never stepped on them, I just step over them.
My wife is short and when I changed the tires, I put taller 34” tires on. So it made the height problem worse for her.
Anyway, I’ve read that the running board bracket from an ‘08 F-250 will lower the running boards as they are the same running boards.
But I have not been able to locate a P/N for the bracket(s).
I am hoping someone has done this and know’s the P/N’s needed and/or someone that works for a dealer or something that can help me out to getbthe correct P/N’s.
Thanks!

I know what you asked for, but maybe you should look at the retractable running boards. I have both the fixed (on one truck) and the retractable (on the other truck). The retractable are definitely lower than the fixed and allow my wife easy access to the passenger compartment.
I would LOVE the retractable running boards, but #1, I can’t afford them & #2, I live in the Mid-West, the Snow amd salt will make them fail. I haven’t seen anything the snow & salt can’t destroy.
