I used to feel the same way, then I bought the wife an escape with the 2.0 ecobeast. The engine in that is more powerful than the old 3.0 v-6 they used to use in the escapes and fusions. Not to mention we have gotten 29.5 mpg hiway in it. The best I ever got in the 11 fusion with the 3.0 was about 24 hiway.

I WAS kidding.

I wish I could afford two new trucks. One would be a Raptor, the other, a Tremor. And I'd keep my Super Duty for fifth wheel duty.

Ahh, to have an unlimited income...

After x plan and rebates I can get this one for 40,040.

The other one is 41,476 after plan and rebates. They are both identically equipped other than the engine, they are even the same color.

I'm at a quandary now, do I get the eco beast and get the slightly better mileage, or get the 5.0 that has a lot more upgrade options available right now like intakes, cams, long tubes, and superchargers.
Just a thought, have you looked here in texas? I found several new 13 lariat 4x4's around the dallas area for $32,000.fly down get a truck and drive it home and still save ya some money.

The ecobeast has quite a few upgrades as well that is available, with a livernois 93 tune, some exhaust work and intake it'll pretty much whoop a 5.0 with the same upgrades minus of course a supercharger.

But that would mean I would have to set foot in that god-awful state of texas. I actually had to drive thru there once, the only interesting thing I saw was the sign that said welcome to Oklahoma.

Yeah, but there is still a lot more for the 5.0 than the ecobeast.

why spend more on engine related stuff (minus the supercharger) when the ecoboost will still be faster.. Look at it this way, less money and a whole lot of v8 ford and dodge and chevy guys that you just pissed off cause your v6 whopped em.

True, and don't forget those turdra guys and those nissan tiny's

I talked to my salesman a little while ago and he has a fx4 screw with the 5.0 I'm going to test drive tomorrow and then I'll decide which I like better. Either way I'll probably pull the trigger on Saturday the last day of the month and have 2013 fx4 screw 145" wb with 402A, nav, sunroof, 20's in blue flame.

Check and see where they put the sub on the tremor. AFAIK every ford that has the sony system gets a sub, so the tremor should have one.
