Piler Gauge Pod

Is anyone making a piler gauge pod or anything besides mounting it in the AC vent for the newer F150's?

I am still waiting.... 2 years and still nothing specific that I know of. I just don't like the look of the vent pod.

Am currently plagarizing this home-made A-pillar pod (fabrication) ««« -click-

Should be complete in a day-or-2.

there's part of the drivers side window curtain air bag in that pillar....that why there's none on the market

no one wants to be liable for flying gauges inside the vehicle during an accident....that's also why there's no grab hand anymore....

AGREE for the aftermarket segment of the industry.

that's also why there's no grab hand anymore....
DISAGREE ...
  • RH (passenger) side has grab handle -AND- A-pillar air curtain.
    .
  • the SuperDuty/F-250 has a LH (driver) side grab handle -AND- has the same A-pillar air curtain deployment as the F-150.

Looks gdmjoe but my interior is tan so I don’t think black would look very good on tan.

Well I understand the liability for the pillar but there is nothing else. Steering column, dash or anything.

?????????? EASILY overcome via COLOR COAT Flexible Coating or FoMoCo's interior spray paint. It's a simple matter of PTM (Paint To Match).

As it is I will be using 's 15303 Graphite to match the FoMoCo "Charcoal" of my interior.

does make steering column pods (even for the F-150), HOWEVER, none specifically for 2009+ so modification/fabrication would probably be necessary.

offers the following ...
There are also several overhead offerings.

I have resolved to just not have one. Several years ago I would have just built my own like others, but I just don't have that kind of time anymore... Unfortunately

e.g. eBay [ overhead gauge pod ]

*Selection appears to be AutoMeter, Banks, BullyDog. AeroForce -had- one that fit within the overhead console, however, is now AWOL from their web site.

ALSO ... There's the Saleen S331 dash pod ...

Though intended for 2004-2008 F-150s and would need some modification / fabrication to fit within the 2009+ dash tray area.

I've never been a fan of gauge pods, but those ^^ look purty dern sweet! IMHO, they are as close to an OE look as I've seen.

I've got a guy on another forum that does custom ones very reasonably priced....sometimes you might have to provide the piece to be transformed but well worth it if you want gauges....

I just looked at the overhead stuff on ebay and it says they are for a superduty but it looks like it would fit anything.
