The first few 2013's are starting to hit dealers, some pics of the new models.....
I dunno about that. I'll have to respectfully disagree with you there. They still look and feel 'cheap' to me.
Strong engines, though. Now that I've seen a few non-professionally taken pics of the dash panel on the 2013s, I'm not 100% sold on it. Maybe it seems like it doesn't flow very well to me.
Having said that, the FX4 is freakin'
I will agree the prices are insane. If I were buying new, I would be damn tempted to get a Ram Express.
Its true, but you have to compare apples to apples. I dont pay msrp for an f150, but i also seriously doubt most ram owners pay msrp either. I'll see what the prices are like when i go to buy and how they compare. Also, while i am very leery about buying a ram product in terms of durability, they have a solid product at a reasonable price. It at least deserves a look....
Im not a huge fan of the new grills, though the balck one on the FX4 is a-maz-ing. I really like the new center stack, it seems much more streamlines and organized than the 09-11 one did to me. That felt like there were buttons everywhere, though that my be a by product of me being used to my 06 XLT... which has like 10 buttons total on the whole truck (hyperbole, but you get the point.)
Solid work on an update by Ford.

They don't look too bad, the FX4 looks amazing, however, it NEEDs the 2011/2012 grill. That grill looks so much better! And for some reason I still am more partial to the "action packed" 2009/2011 FX4 decal style. Gave it a good attitude character IMO. Would love to buy one!
The grey leather Lariat interior is ugly though, reminds me of an XLT. Ugh I hate grey interiors.

Agree. It's alright on the large screen, but that cluster F of buttons around the smaller screen is just ugly as sin. Honestly it looks like an import, like something Toyota would put in their lower end models.
I made a price chart of a 4 door shortbed Ram Sport, FX2, and a F250. The ram and the FX2 both have 20" wheels, 2 LCD screens fully loaded etc. Prices are:
Ram Sport fully loaded: $35,230
F250 6.7L XLT Premium Package: $47,315
FX2 Appearance and Luxury package 3.5L: $46,420
F150 Limited: $49,175
Now this is how I would set up my truck. I realize some people want 4wd or dont want certain things but the price differences here are huge. I dont tow but I use my bed constantly so I dont want a superduty but for the price of a F150 I can get a very nice F250.
I realize this see example above.

I feel the 2013 Ram is the best looking truck out there, of course all have their own opinion. The FX2 with the appearance package being a very very close 2nd. I think the 09-12 trucks are kinda ugly with the 2013 FX2 being gorgeous. I agree the F150 dash is to clustered with all the dials. Take some away and let the touch screen do it. A few 2009+ Rams have come to the shop for oil changes. The interior is vastly better then my 04-08 Lariat interior.
Agreed.
I am leery too. However from the Charger/300/Magnums that I have worked on or the new 5.7s I have seen very very few issues with them, I see new chevys with leaks all the time. I can lift up a Dodge truck with a 5.7 or any Ford 5.4 and they are bone dry underneath reguardless of miles. I am trying to research more into Ram reliablility. The 5.7 is a great motor and ZF builds a hell of a good trans. I've always been a Ford guy but when it comes to my next upgrade, I may not be.
