2012 F150's
True, but only in XL and XLT trims.
Yep. Thats what I was saying that I would like to seem them change in 2012. You can get a Lariat in an ext cab, and you get a 8 foot bed with an extended cab, but for at least the past couple body styles you could not get them together. Only Gm has continued to offer an 8ft bed 1/2 ton with top of line trim. Granted they are not high volume configurations, so I get it, so I just continue to buy GM trucks for my daily work use and Fords here lately for personal use like towing my toys, ect.
Ford just issued a press release about the 2012 Harley Davidson F150. They specifically mention the NAV system as standard and show it in the pics. So, it looks like they've got the supply issue resolved at least for some of the models.

Didn't mention much about other non-cosmetic changes to the trucks. That should start surfacing over the next week or so as the 2011 order book is coming to a close and 2012 orders are beginning to be accepted.

The info seems a little dated sorta like the 2012 fleet info. It mentions Tux Black which most have herd at this point that it has been replaced for 2012 and the on late 2011 trucks with regular gloss black. My fleet number gets me into the fleet website via pass codes that allow me to read the dealer news bulitons and Nav is still showing TBD for 2012 MY, and no longer availble for order on the 2011 model year trucks. I am not sure how accurate that press release is going to turn out to be. I suspect at some point they will get the Navs back in the trucks, at least I hope so.
Yeah, the info in the press release seems a little questionable. I noticed the reference to Tux Black and the pictures clearly show a black with metallic flakes in it. Yet, this is inconsistent with current order info. Someone also commented in another thread that NAV was available in 2012 models which it is part of the standard configuration. I'm not sure what the source of that info is however.
I was looking at the fleet website today, looking at the DNBs it is showing the order bank opens 8-15-11 job 1 for 12's is 10-24-11. If that is really the case, then I would think we should see the 12' order guide released any day now.
Also noticed 58A Nav systems are no longer TBD they show job 1 for NAV option 11-1-11. So I would think that means they have there supplier problem resolved.

I AM GETTING INCREDIBLY IMPATIENT for the 2012 order guide. Come on Ford! They have almost every order guide out but the F150. What's the deal?!
Hopefully you're right and it will be out within the next week.
I think that they do have the NAV problem figured out because the option is back on the Super Duty Build site and it wasn't last week.

Ok, maybe not quite that easy but I don't think there will be much difference. A couple different color codes and a heavier rating for Max Tow and Hvy Payload packages on the long bed Screws. I'd be surprised if we see anything else. They are still selling trucks as fast as they can build them so there is not much incentive to change things up yet. Maybe Job2 will bring a couple other minor things too.
I think you can grab an '11 order guide, cross out the "2011" and replace it with "2012" and you'll be good to go.

I think there was a late year revised order guide that even has some color chart revisions. So I thinking the same thing. We are looking at pretty much a carry over year for 2012. A few minor changes like heavy payload pkg on a crew. But I am not looking for much difference. I also noticed today that the change over is last job for 2011 is Friday 10/21/11 and Job 1 for 2012 is showing to be Monday 10/24/11.
I'd be suirprised if we don't see anything else. Just give me the order guide already. I'm tired of hearing there won't be much difference and just look at the 2011 guide. I'd like to decide and see for myself what it is.
Heavy Duty Payload on SuperCrew, possible 36 gallon tank on EcoBoost, updated Lariat interior?, 7 lug Lariat, new headrests, nav update, MFT?, wheels, new brakes, suspension and other change on Raptor, other stuff, colors, decals, axles, front camera, etc. Just give me the order guide and I will decide for myself if the changes are big or little. Any changes are big changes to me and to a lot of people here. We live for this stuff.

I here ya, I am looking forward to seeing what is what for the new trucks as well. I love checking out this stuff too. I check the fleet site every 2or3 days in hopes of a new order guide. I just don't have a strong feeling that I will see a lot of changes. But I hope there are some good ones like you mentioned.

I am not expecting or wanting big changes, just some new colors, wheels and changes to the Lariat interior. I'm also very interested in the new heavy=duty payload package on the SuperCrew Lariat.
Order guide arrive soon!
I can't get it to link here since it takes a pass code to get into it. but thought I would try and cut and paste the high lights.
